I'm pretty sure she was the stuck up woman who thought Cinderella needed to be taught how to act in the prescence of royalty. At the end of the movie, she's conveniently paired up with the Grand Duke. Yes, I've had the displeasure of seeing that movie.

Listening to most often lately:

Cinderella III: Spoilers!
Disneykid: I wish there was a Cinderella III pop-up book! Basically, one page had Lady Tremaine, the stepsisters, and the wedding scene in the mist. On the opposite page were two other misty scenes. I scanned both pages, copy and pasted the scenes from the opposite page on the other page's mist, and used my animation program to make the scenes change. Thank you for noticing, because I'm quite proud of it! And thank you for not spoiling the ending for me!
I'm sorry, but I'm not peeking for my sake, but this thread is for spoilers. If anyone wants to talk about the ending of the movie, please provide a bold or ALL CAPITAL LETTERS warning before you talk about it.TheNikki wrote:Could you fill us in on the rest of the storybook? I'd love to hear how it all ends.
Let me ask you a question: when are you getting the film? After February 6th, when I've gotten the movie and had time to watch it, if you still have to wait a long tiME for the movie, I will post the rest of the storybook's pages!supertalies wrote:i my country they don't have the storybook
can you post more pictures please?
i really love those pictures.
YES.Timon/Pumbaa fan wrote:Is it wrong to say I'm looking more forward to this film than I was the Platinum release of the original?
Ummm...but the artwork for this film is based on the artwork for the original...and the plot was well thought out in the original, too...Jens wrote:I'm also very looking forward to this film and like Timon/Pumbaa fan, even more than I was looking forward to the original's Platinum DVD release! Re: Cinderella III: Spoilers!
Well, see that comment seperately from the looking forward part... It was just a seperate comment about the film, and not meant to sound that the backgrounds, animation and story are better than the original film. I'm just looking forward to Cinderella III more for some reason...Disney Duster wrote:Ummm...but the artwork for this film is based on the artwork for the original...and the plot was well thought out in the original, too...
Oh and I know the ending (I have put it in white, just in case!):
After failing to split up Cinderella and the Prince, refusing to give up, the Wicked Stepmother makes a new plan. As Cinderella prepares for her wedding to the Prince, the Wicked Stepmother emerges from the shadows with Anastasia who is now, magically, the mirror image of Cinderella! Cinderella protests, but the Wicked Stepmother coolly replies that the Prince will never know the difference! She waves the wand, and casts a wicked spell that sets Cinderella and Mice in a careening evil pumpkin coach, with Lucifer – transformed into a cackling maniacal coachman -- at the reins! At the last minute, Cinderella and the Mice overcome Lucifer and stop the coach before it tumbles off a cliff.
They race back to the church, but it seems they might be too late to stop the Prince from marrying the fake Cinderella – who is really Anastasia. However, Anastasia knows the Prince does not love her, and in a surprising twist, she herself refuses to marry him. The Wicked Stepmother tries to use the wand one more time, but the Prince bravely deflects the wand’s magic and turns Wicked Stepmother into a toad. Now Cinderella and the Prince marry and live happily ever after….again!

Cinderella III: Spoilers!!!!!!
Jens and atlanticaunderthesea: Thank you for trying to keep the ending a secret! Putting the ending in white was the best choice, and when I saw atlanticaunderthesea's words in bold and capitals, it was the perfect warning to make me stop scrolling down, and just quote supertalies without going any further in the thread. So, everyone follow their perfect examples. It saved me from seeing the ending and having that heart attack atlanticaunderthesea predicted for me!
I've been thinking that it'll start getting dangerous in this thread with the ending already revealed, so I'm going to stay out of here until I've seen the movie. Remember, curisosity killed a cat!
Well, way before then I will have seen the movie. As soon as I've seen it, I can post more storybook pictures and maybe some screencaps or other images, to hold you until March!supertalies wrote:the movie comes march 17th in my country
so i have to wait a month longer

Cinderella III: Spoilers!!!!
You're right, the first segment in Cinderella II happens before this because in that first segment, Cinderella and the Prince are just coming back to the castle after their honeymoon. Then I guess a year later they have their anniversary, and then maybe after that Anastasia falls in love with the Baker. But I don't see why Cinderella would help her stepsister after she takes Cinderella's place as the Prince's bride!supertalies wrote:we have preduce so part 2 is happened before this movie
so i think that with the baker is after this movie when everything is back to normal.(or so i hope)

I'm glad to give you the scans as soon as I've seen the film. In fact, because some people requested more storybook pictures, I added just one more piture to the first post (with the Prince and Anastasia).
And to Timon/Pumbaa fan and Jens, I guess looking forward to this more than the original's Platinum Edition is justified because this is a whole new movie with new animation and new story. But you've already seen the original before, and on DVD it just got a new restoration. So don't feel bad about being more excited for this, I can see why you would be.
Okay, now I'm gonna try to stay outta here...I still haven't looked at the ending yet! I've been good!

Re: Cinderella III: Spoilers!!!!
AHH!! Thanks for making this thread!! It's like Pandora's Box. I want to read all the white, but then I don't want to and don't know if I should and ESPECIALLY after atlanticaunderthesea's comment I really really want to but I'm going to wait, lol.
I get what you both mean that we can assume that Cinderella III does take place after the first story of Cinderella II since they do awknowledge the existence of Prudence who was alredy introduced, but she was always there and could be considered introduced in III. Overall, Disney Duster, you're still right because the first story was right after their honeymoon which traditionally occur after the wedding (especially if they have the money!).
I guess I'm trying to say that Prudence in III is not the sole reason why we can assume that III is definitely taking place after II.
lol!
You're right Disney Duster, but I don't think supertalies is completely right. We know that Prudence always organized and planned the Royal Banquet in the castle until Cinderella came along. It's only logical that Prudence could've very well been a part of the story in the original Cinderella, we just never saw her or knew she was there. After all, who planned and organized and executed the fateful ball where the Prince and Cinderella met?Disney Duster wrote:You're right, the first segment in Cinderella II happens before this because in that first segment, Cinderella and the Prince are just coming back to the castle after their honeymoon.supertalies wrote:we have preduce so part 2 is happened before this movie

I only read the first paragraph of the ending (in other words, the climax, not the ending ending). The climax looks mighty impressive, so impressive that I couldn't bring myself to see how it's resolved, so I stopped reading. I have a question, though, and this doesn't really pertain to the climax, so everyone can read this: Why doesn't Lady Tremaine use the wand to make Cindy as clueless as the prince? That would seem a very easy solution to all of this rather than constantly trying to outwit the girl. Does the wand have limitations or something?

Or just get rid of her altogether
!
Mabey she tried to do that but Cinderella avoided the spell with her own magic! (probably not)
the movie seems scary, violent and complicated at times and I wonder if 4 year olds will be able to follow along with the plot. Mabey this movie was made for the fans like Disney Duster who colud mak sense of all that is going on in this well developed sequel.

NO SPOILERS HERE- just discussion.
To reply to the question why Cinderella would help Anastasia get the baker after all thats happened lets pause for a moment to consider the character of Cinderella herself. Despite however the climax of Film III turns out, Cinderella is pure of heart. She is a loving, caring and forgiving character. Why else do you think she could be so understanding of Prudence for example? I mean Prudence was pretty bad in Film 2- come on she treated Cinderella like absolute c**p.
Overall I think Cinderella could find it in her heart to forgive her evil sisters in the end no matter how badly they had treated her. That's what makes her such a beautiful character. She rises above those sorts of things and can learn to move on with her life.
Having been naughty and read the end of Film III (thank you so much for posting it) we should have no fears. The ending is amazingly well thought out and exciting. I am very glad to see that it really allows the characters to expand once again. Everyone who was a major player of Film 1 is involved and each one does something that highlights them at the end.
I agree that the film is far more scary and violent then the original but that's what makes it great. Kids these days won't have issues with it because (and I am being general when I say this) parents these days on bulk will let there kids watch anything (sad but true). However it is still accessable and won't scare them for life.
What Disney has tried to do here is create a really engaging and suspenseful movie that delves deep into character, story and plot. Now the stepmother has been given power she has become an even greater menace to Cinderella, which is good since compared to the other Princesses Cinderella's nemises really wasn't that big a challenge.
Not to say that the stepmother is not an excellent villian but with the power of the wand she becomes that much more threatening and Cinderella really has to fight to defeat her (and no that was not a hint at how the film ends- I'm talking metaphorically).
I think the reason the film has been given a bit more 'balls' then the original is because the Disney company wants it to be exciting for boys and girls. The romance and magic is still in the vein of the original which is why it has become such a classic with the female audiance. But the addition of the action, suspense and more scary aspects will allow the film to be more exciting and engaging for boys as well. Also expanding the role of the Prince was a good move by the Disney company which again allows the film to be more accessable for members of both genders.
I am not saying the original is not loved and enjoyed by boys (since I am an 18 year old guy) but since its original release it has been branded as a girls movie and boys now adays won't even give it a second glance (as in they pre-judge it before seeing it). By adding these darker and more action filled elements to the film now the male audiance can be more directly targeted allowing Cinderella III the chance to break through this gender oriented barrier.
I know I rambel on but I just felt these thoughts were good to share. I have tried to avoid giving away any clues as to what I read when looking at the spoiler for the ending and have focussed my discussions on other peoples questions and queries about the film. Please tell me your thoughts (if you actually could get through reading this whole passage).

I wonder where they got the idea for a certain part of the climax/ending. Yes, I read it........
I hope this movie will be okay for my niece who LOVES Cinderella, to watch. I'll buy a copy and let her watch it, but I may watch it first.

Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.
