AAHH! Crazy story about my high school today!

Post by jeremy88 »

Today was probably among the most interesting days at my school..well today they had an assembly for all of the students about drugs and the new canine that will be able to sniff out drugs, but anyway yesterday they arrested like 6 people for drugs. And how did they do this?

Well today I found out that there was an under cover cop that posed as a student! Its so weird because the cop was actually in my history class and no body knew she was a cop! Not the students, teachers, principles or anyone only she knew and the board of San Diego City Schools that allowed her to do this. The only reason they found out she was a cop was because she missed a lot of days of school and the VP finally called her house to tell her about her absences and thats when she finally said she was an under cover narcotics officer! It so weird because I just thought she was a regular student, she did her work and talked like any other high schooler, but her mission was to see if she was able to get drugs on campus and so yesterday they caught the 6 people..its kinda sad because I knew two of the guys since like elementary and they went off to jail. I definatly dont do drugs and Im completely against it, and I think that its good so the students know not to do that kind of stuff at our High School.

Anyway heres the link if you want to read the news article

I always thought that kind of stuff happens in a movie or television show. I've never had something like that happen when I was in high school.

That is interesting! We too have a dog come to our high school and sniff around for drugs sometimes . There have been a few to get caught. What a bad path to go on.

The same thing has happened at my high school. We had an undercover cop that never was found out about until he "graduated".

We've had stuff like that happen here at our school, but the only drugs at our school are the smokers who have their own space to smoke in the parking lot, but it was creepy finding out the person you did a presentation with was actually a cop

This happened at my high school, last year, I wasn't there yet. But, my sister was there, and I remember that her name was Mary-Beth, or something similar to that. It was all over the news, there were like 15 or 20 people arrested, and some of them were arrested a week before they would have graduated. So they couldn't graduate (which I think is funny). So, if you think about it, it really isn't that weird, it's probably quite common.

That's an interesting situation. When I was in high school, we had random drug testing done on the students and faculty. The drug testing bus would appear every few months, and they would call those randomly selected into the bus. Then you had to pee in a cup. If you couldn't go, they would make you drink water and sit with the testing people until you did have to go. Anyone who tried to leave school early, before the names were called, would automatically be selected. The had to take the test before they could leave campus.

A few people were busted, and their parents were notified. The students then had a choice of temporary suspension or drug counseling. If they were busted a second time, they were permanently kicked out of the school. There was one girl in my class that was kicked out for failing the drug test twice. It happened three months before graduation, she was one of only two classmates that didn't get to graduate with us. The other one had failing grades.

Amusing to hear. I didn't think the a young teenager would qualify in being a detective. Thanks for clearing it up. :)

wow I didnt know it was that commen lol, I guess cause I never thought of it before and like it reminded me of the situation similar to that movie "Never Been Kissed" and i never thought it actually happened in real life. So the whole situation was quite ammusing lol.

Decoys are a great way to catch criminals...I still keep thinking of the cop though..."I can't believe she's not a student....she's a really good faker"

It still bothers me how some students do great the entire year then screw it up by doing something dumb like that though...

Gee thats an awkward situation for the students lol...I would hate doing that...but I think thats another good way to bust kids on drugs.
