Whatja get & give?
So, whatja get, and whatja give?
Personally I don't celebrate Christmas (for reasons I don't like discussing, because I've been slammed for it too many times). But my grandparents insist on giving me money every time. So I got about $50 in cash. Also, I bought them a Hula girl doll when I went to Hawaii, as well as a Pearl Harbor book for my grandpa (we was in the Navy during WWII).
Howabout you guys?

I could have sworn that when I posted earlier that the what did you give part was not there.
Anyway, I gave some clothes to my dad. He quit smoking and started to gain weight. Go Figure. I also got him some golf balls and something to help his swing out. For my mom I gave her Seabiscuit (she was upset that I gave her widescreen...she wanted Fullscreen), some candles, and some knick nacks for around the house.
I also gave a lot to my co-workers but won't go into detail....too much

I got 2 dvds from my father. The Black Cauldron and The Sword in The Stone. I got some money too and some small stuff from family. I also got a Finding Nemo cd from my brother (With 40 tracks on it! 39 without singing and the last one by Robbie Williams with "Beyond The Sea"). I will get my present from my mother on New Year's Evening and that will probably be a 3-disc box with A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc. and Toy Story in it
I'm so happy!
I gave my father a dvd (Panic Room), my brother an AXE shower pack (with deodorant and shaving gel and stuff), my dad's girlfriend a shower pack (with shampoo and all that stuff), my grandmother a candle in shape of a present (VERY original
) and my grandfather a ball for his dog
I have to buy my present for my mom tomorrow. Don't know what I'm gonna get her

I got the FS version and almost cringed, but I knew no one would know or understand what the hell I was miffed about. Oh well...I'll be exchanging at Target early in the morning before we hit the road.poco wrote: ... For my mom I gave her Seabiscuit (she was upset that I gave her widescreen...she wanted Fullscreen)

I gave CDs, books and DVDs mainly (best of R.E.M CD & DVD, a really big book of Annie Liebowitz's American music photography (to my girlie) and some Law & Order DVDs (to mum) were some things that people received from Loomis). I also got a few things for my girlie's parents that included a DVD and some wine.
In return, Loomis was given books, CDs and DVDs
And socks.
CDs included Rage Against the Machine Live, Bowie's Man Who Sold the World (both from my girlie) & Ryan Adam's 'Rock N Roll' (the latter thanks to a little Mouse). DVDs included Star Trek: TNG Season 6 (!!!) and Nick Cave Live (both from my girlie...such a generous lass).
And the grandparents were the cash and sock givers
did very well indeed - but am I the only person who didn't give or receive Seabiscuit?

I was hoping for monsters inc. or the disney treasure chest from costco, but oh well, I guess I'll have to buy them myself
I gave kitchen stuff, clothes, scarves, gloves... a whole bunch of different things. But mostly household items.

My mom and step-dad got me an Elton john greatest hits cd, LOTR: Two Towers Extended Edition, Evanesence cd, two t-shirts and some candy in my stocking.
My grandparents gave me 150$ and some clothes that i will need to exchange.
My dad and step-mom gave me $140.
My sister gave me a t-shirt with the initial C on it.
My older sister gave me a $15 gift certificate to walmart.
My step sister gave me a cute sweater.
And last but not least my wonderful fiancee gave me an ipod.
I figure that with all the money i got i can break even and pay back all those credit card bills that i spent buying my family and friends x-mas presents.
I gave dvds, disney t-shirts from my store, a complete new work outfit for my mother; some tools for my dad; a beatles item for my stepfather; pregnancy book and figurines for my older sister; poc t-shirt and plush figaro for my younger sister; i love lucy stuff for step sister; food for my grandparents; bath and body works stuff and picture frame for step-mother; clothes, jet ski parts and west coast chopper stuff for my fiancee... I am so far in debt that if it wasn't for my xmas money i would be in debt till next xmas!
hehe

What I got:
--a sweater
--a pig-shaped CD player case (.........)
--lip balm (I don't even use chapstick, what will I do with lip balm???
)
--cash!
What I gave:
Mom--a Nine West watch
Dad--a pair of sock slippers
My sister--a t-shirt with the statement, "This is the shirt I wear when I don't give a crap."
I didn't have a lot of cash this year to buy gifts for everyone, so I just limited my list to my immediate family...
