Re: ..
It probably depends on which store you bought it from? Some use removable tags and others use stickers without much thought to the consequences? I have not removed anything as of yet but planning to give that goo gone a try when the time comes. (everything is still in pristene shrink wrap for now)vojna wrote:this sticky stuff is really bad. even after 24hours there are still some marks. i tried almost everything that you people posted here.

I'm having trouble with this with my Rarites WDT that I got for Christmas. I think I'll try and search my house for some goo gone. I'm not sure if we have any, but there isn't any harm in looking.

I took off the price sticker off my sister's The Devil Wear Prada slipcase and it left residue. I tried rubbing it off, but them it just looked dirty. Then I got my plastic eraser and it came right off! I hope this works for tins, I think it will though. Make sure it's an eraser made in Japan or the Staedtler from Germany (i think it's from Germany), use only white plastic ones that come inside a little wrapper.
Also when removing the dvd seal do it with a tweezer. Gently weasel it under the sticker and then slowly and patiently start lifting it up. It all takes patience.

I find metho, tea-tree oil or even nail polish remover to be effective.
This year, however, I had absolutely no problems removing the security stickers from the cases. I wish I could say as much for last year's Rarities, which STILL has residue on it!

Here in Belgium the Cars DVD comes with a poster. Very nice of them to include that and all, but the problem is: it is actually GLUED to the plastic inlay holder of the case. It's glued on it with about 15 blobs of glue.
Now THAT's a nightmare.
Result: Bumped plastic and remains of glue on the back

Will do. Now all I need to do is find a white rubber eraser.Beastboyravenz wrote:Loomis try my method, use a white rubber eraser. It might work, if you try it let me know if it works.
