Hello everybody! This is my first post! It's a great forum! :D

Now on to business. I don't think Ocean Waves will be released in the next wave. It wasn't part of the Ghibli/Disney deal. Maybe because it was a made for TV movie, not a theatrical release. I know Tales of Earthsea also isn't in the Disney deal so maybe something will change for both of those if the deal is extended. As of right now Tales of Earthsea hasn't even been announced for theatrical release anywhere except Japan & S. Korea. I'm sure that'll change soon though. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Actually, that's not quite correct. It should be pronounced with very short vowels. Not like the words "no key", which have quite long vowels.

I know what you mean. Let me see...

Then:

Moh-Noh-Noh-Key

Not even that's quite correct. We're on the other extreme now.

Almost. :) The last e should sound like in the words "get" or let".

The pronounciation should be "MOH-NOH-NOH-KEH." The first 3 syllables should rhyme.

Not "KEY." That's just how the silly narrator mispronounced it in the trailer for the American release. XD
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Exactly!! Thanks a lot for your post, since I am not a native English speaker, I am only able to use "International Phonetic Alphabet" to mark. Yesterday I tried my best to find a page that teach me all the phonetic notations like "moh", "keh", etc., but I FAILED. :x

Well, Nausicaa.net says it is mispronounced in the first trailer, but correct in later trailers. But since I am in China, I only see the first trailer, not later ones.

I don't think that there will be many extra's. If you look at the other Stuido Ghibli films that Disney has released, there won't be many. On disc 2, there will probably only be one feature, the whole movie in storyboard form.

Thats ok, i just really loved that featurrete that showed how Spirited Away was made, it's long and in depth and really shows how hard the animators work.

Oh yeah, that's a great featurette! It was very in-depth, and gave a lot of insight.

Princess Mononoke has a 6 hour long making of documentary. The birth of Studio Ghibli feature on the Nausicaa DVD is taken from this.

Wow, 6 hours long? Hopefully then they will put an awesome, long, intricate featurette on the dvd.

Yes, but also remember, Kiki's Delivery Service came out on VHS from Buena Vista, before Mononoke.
Kiki's was also on Laserdisc! :D

I seem to recall a deal where you could buy the three titles of Wave 1, and get Princess Mononoke for free.

While it may not have originally been part of the deal, it was later added to the Japanese and Korean (maybe more) releases for Buena Vista, and Disney may have even purchased the US rights to it. If they havn't, it won't be to hard to, already having the rights to other areas.

Is this 2 disc set thing real or a rumor? If its real, itd be great. I saw this movie for the first time not too long ago and I loved it. If only Kiki's Delivery Service would get a 2 disc set, I'd be pretty happy. My fav's are the previous 2 that I mentioned, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle.

KiKi does have a 2-Disc set. I'm not sure what the bonus features are, but I know that KiKi has a double-disc edition.

Kiki's does have a 2-disc edition, but like many of the other films, the actual extra content is pretty weak. Basically they have a couple of trailers, a featurette on the American dubbing, and then the second disc contains the entire movie in storyboards. Might be appealing to some people, but personally I never bothered with them.
