Thought this was kind of funny!!! Sorry! Didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up!!!

Do you think this bootleg acually has a remastered picture? I heard they released a really fine transfer on cable in the U.K. sometime recently? Correct me if I'm wrong? Anyway, I already own a fairly decent dvdr copy. I just thought you guy's might laugh at this!

Hopefully this link will work!

Not funny. :P

And that two-disc with all the bells and whistles is available from another site for far less than $96. ;)

Looks quite interesting. I downloaded a fairly good DVD-R from a torrent which includes two trailers, the radio plug, and Coal Black. But I wouldn't mind having this set.

You almost have to feel sorry for the person who will no doubt end up spending over $100 buying this, expecting this to be 100% genuine, and then get a bootleg. But then again, maybe some bootlegs are worth $100 to some people.

Well, you certainly got MY hopes up!!

By the way, can anyone name somewhere where I can download "Song of the South" with good picture quality? I have it downloaded off Limewire, but it's someone recording their TV playing the film. Therefore, that "transfer" of SOTS has the worst quality of any film I have ever seen..ever. But most importantly, I'm looking to make a DVD of SOTS to last me until an official copy is released.

An official release of this movie will probably never happen, but in the case of downloading, Demonoid, a torrent site has a copy for download.

Also, the dvd that is for sale in that listing is actually made and sold from a site called jeengles.com. I have ordered other dvd's from there and they are good quality. They are selling it for under $20 and free shipping.

Yeah, so did I. It really sucks that it isn't on DVD yet, it's not that racist.

What? Iger didn't reconsider? :P

Anyway, the auction is gone, so I guess that person got turned in really quickly. To think, you wouldn't have this on the Black Market if Disney just released the darn thing. They've no one to blame except themselves for the piracy of this one. Apparently people aren't up in arms over it if they're going to any means to buy a copy.

Who in the right mind would pay 100 dollars for a bootleg that probably has bad quality?

I have both a single disc version and this new 2-disc version, and I can tell you that the quality is not bad. In fact, it is better than some of the so-called 'restored from original masters' DVD's that I have seen.

There are lots of places where you can get this 2-disc set for under $20.

My single disc SotS has as an Easter Egg the Coal Black short, but it is not even close to the quality of the version that is on the 2-disc set.

I thought Coal Black was supposed to be Warner Bros, not disney. Oh well what do you expect from a bootleg?

You didn't read the first post on this thread did you? There is a complete description of what is on the second disc of this 2-disc set.

And, no one has ever disputed that the "Coal Black" short was a Warner Bros. short, that's what we, except you, already know.

Maybe PixarFan you should read the posts ahead of yours to make sure that you know what you are going to post hasn't already been said.

I did read the first post. I was just saying if Disney did this dvd (And they will never do), that short would not be on there because it was done by a different company than Disney.

I think Disney needs to get with the times and release this DVD so people won't have to pay ridiculous prices to see this movie. Sorry if I am repeating any posts.

Exactly. And plus they are going around complaining about people who are making these bootleg DVDs, and people buying them. Uhm, Hello? Earth to Disney! We wouldn't have this problem if you would just release the stinkin' movie!!! :x

OK. My rant is over. :)
