I voted for the Evil Queen-although my favourite character is Ursula- cause her secret room, mirror, books and stuff are sooo typical for a witch and I really love it!

The Disney Sorcerer/Sorceress Poll
Now that's not a poll about the Disney Villains. It's a poll of Magic, and I mean it literally!
Okay, I would like you to vote for your favourite Disney Animated Sorcerer/ress from the ones listed above and say which magic spell has he/she cast on you so that you like him/her so much! Fairies and stuff are excluded, we're talking Witchcraft now!
I voted for the Evil Queen-although my favourite character is Ursula- cause her secret room, mirror, books and stuff are sooo typical for a witch and I really love it!

Favorite Disney Scorcerer/Scorceress
Well, my favorite's Maleficent. My second favorite would be Ursula, who is more like a witch, but even though Maleficent is an evil fairy, she's my favorite because:
1. Her costume of flowing flame-like robes, her horned batwing-like headdress, and her black and purple colors.
2. Her unusual staff, with the ball that can show creepy visions of a dying princess, call lightning down, create a glowing ball of smoke (that turns into a spinning wheel), create a lightning-filled fog of doom that springs up thorns, and even make a whirlwind of fire that she can travel around in (when she said "No, it cannot be!" and whirled over to Prince Phillip)!
3. She has this ultra-awesome black raven named Diablo that actually succedes in helping her plans!
4. She has her own castle for a home, on top of a mountain, that lightnings and thunders according to her mood!
5. Her voice is so cool and chilling, so unique and identifiable.
6. She has such an evil, sarcastic personality ("...and prove that true love conquers all!").
7. She has the best villanous laugh ever!
8. Her entrances and exits are the best, with the fire and herselfgrowing out of this strange, angular, black, pronged shape!
As for Ursula, she's such an original witch, what with her sea monster skeleton lair, her garden of merpeople-turned-polyps, her jagged cauldron that opens and closes, her gaint clamshell potion cabinet, her vanity and its strange beauty supplies, her dish of live shrimp, the potions themselves (sea creatures contained in flasks, a live butterfly in a glass ball), and the best part, her nautilus neclace that can capture a mermaid's voice! Plus, her design of a black octopus body!

Ursula, although Merlin's always been one of my favorite characters. She's the closest to a "real" witch as Disney's gonna get (you know, using plants and creatures to create potions rather than magic staves, fingers and wands) and is just a unique character even outside of the Disney genre.
And, as far as villainy goes (although I don't think that matters for this poll), she's probably only matched by Maleficent. She gives desperate people a taste of their deepest longings only to shatter it all and force them to a pitiful existence for the rest of their lives (or, rather, her's). After all, some things are worse than death.

The Duster did a good job with the whys - Malificent. Yzema would be second for me.

Who else would I vote for? The one and only, Yen Sid is my favorite Sorcerer! Since, you know, he's in like the best movie in the world, I automatically picked him. And besides, he's quite, and quite people are nice.

So it seems that Yen Sid is the winner for the time being! He truly seems to be the most powerful, but considering that he's in the movie only for about 5 minutes, that fact that he's so popular is quite surprising! Maleficent and Ursula are in the 2nd and 3rd place which was expected as they're 2 of the most polpular Disney characters ever. For some reason it seems that Yen Sid 's got his own style...

Ohhhh I love all of them, so I'll put my 3 favs.
White Queen - I was suprised she wasn't on the list since she's considered a Witch, I love how she doesnt rely on just magic, she actually knows how to fight with swords
Mad Madame Mim - She is soooo crazy and well Mad
which actually makes her more dangerous because she's unpredictable
Yen Sid - One thing I never knew was that his name is Disney backwards, plus in a way he's sorta like Disney since he's Mickey's master, and in real life Walt was Mickey's "master" or creator
I do have a point in there I swear, I just don't know where, I lost track of what I was saying

Is Lady Tremaine now a Scorceress?
Hey, we may have to re-do this sometime to count in Lady Tremaine with the magic wand! Although, I'm guessing you'd rather keep it to the way characters originally were, because in a lot of television episodes characters obtain magic temporarily. Even Ariel became a sea witch in one episode (to use magic to make Sebastian bigger)!

Very good idea, Disney Duster! Lady Tremain with the wand is really creepy. However, I can't change this poll. There is no way I can "edit" it.
You know, Magica de Spell has fascinated me from the appearences she made in classic Carl Barks' comicbooks, featuring Scrooge mc Duck and the whole gang. That's where her character was presented more extensively. So I consider her not a television product but a classic heroine just like the other ducks. It's like having the classic Villains gang without Pete. Or that's just the way I see it.
I also forgot to include the Witch Hazel from the animated short "Trick or Treat" starring Donald Duck and his nephews, and I'm mad about it!
Stupid me! Anyway, too late now!

Voted for Magica de Spell!
Although I also love Ursula!
HeH, but I always tjeck and see if there's a new Magica story in the latest Donald Duck magazine. I just love the stories when she's in it! They are great!
