Small One and The Wuzzles?

Post by ArtOfDisney »

Does anybody know if The Small One or The Wuzzles are or will be released on DVD? Does anyone remember these?

The Small One is released on the international "Countdown to Christmas" DVD. It's available in Europe and Australia in R2 PAL (hard to play on most US equipment) and I believe it is also available in Brazil in R1/R4 NTSC (where it is called "Contagem Regressiva para o Natal").

The responses to your Ben and Me thread regarding availability and retail outlets etc. will be appropriate here.

Here is a listing for the R2 UK disc:

I doubt we'll ever see the Wuzzles in any format again. I'm not even sure the people working at Disney remember this one anymore...

I know they have. Most people don't know who the Wuzzles are. It makes me sad. As for The Small One. thanks for the help. I'm in Region 1 so I'll have to keep my eyes open or look into some options.

I believe the Brazil release is dual encoded R1 and R4 (and has the benefit of being native NTSC). Joe Carioca will probably be able to confirm or deny this.

I've never saw the wuzzles but I know a lot about them. I own the Small One on VHS. But the first thing they need on DVD is the Gumi Bears!

Acording to ThiagoPE, yes, the Brazilian DVDs are dual encoded (and from my experience with my DVD player, I may assure you they really are).
I have the "Countdown to Christmas" DVD (Contagem Regressiva Para o Natal), and "The Small One" is there, and in pretty good shape. You may get it from www.submarino.com.br

I have never seen the Wuzzles, but I've always been curious to do so... I kinda like "The Gummi Bears", so "Wuzzles" seems to be very fun as well.

I went to the webiste Joe listed above and it said this DVD was no longer available. Does anyone have any idea where else this might be purchased? I would love to have this one if it is indeed R1 encoded.

Thanks-

Leesa

That Countdown to Christmas DVD looks good, but I'm questioning the appearance of Prince and the Pauper, as well as Wynken, Blynken, and Nod. I remember this short from "Sing Me a Story with Belle" and I don't remember it being very "Christmassy".

The quality was overall pretty good. Some of the shorts seemed to just be transfers, not remastered. But overall, i think the quality is good. I have seen better, but I think that is a result of it being a compilation not a theatrical release DVD. Less time taken in putting it together. As for shipping, I paid like 20 US dollars to get it shipped in 2 days.

I think the quality of the dvd are a little poor excatily because that you said.

If some day you bought another brazilian dvd, but that time, being a theatrical release, please, don´t forget to tell me what you think about it ok?

Thanks for the replies.
