If you're talking about lucifer, no, he said one wouldn't affect him. There's a difference between wanting one and not caring at all. I can't understand the rest of your post, though, so I can't respond to that.

Snow White 2 Cancelled

Post by gaygaybrad »

Yes, I have declared SW2 RUMORED to be cancelled. I include a disclaimer on my site as to the facts of all rumors. Yes, I do have my sources, which includes this site. I also ask that if anyone knows different to contact me with your sources. I would be happy to post them. The main purpose of the section dedicated to DTV on my site is my own personal reviews. However, I also like to post any info out there that some might find useful (or not).

Wow, you responded to something thats just about 2 years old. Better late than never I guess!

Anywho, I didnt even know there had been a SW II rumor. Im sure its only a matter of time though before we see some new Snow White. And it'll most likely be on an Enchanted Tales DVD.

Snow White has stories and things on Disney Princess DVDs, and she sings new songs on CDs as well. So technically, we do have new bits and bobs on Snow White, just not Snow White II.

Anyone remember the non-Disney Snow White movie? Called 'Happily Ever After' I think. I loved it as a child. I'll dig it out again to see what I think of it now!

I hate to reply to a topic this old, but eh... I need to say this.

@gaygaybrad: To respond to the following quote on your site:
I've never believed in doing sequels. I didn't want to waste the time I have doing a sequel; I'd rather be using that time doing something new and different. It goes back to when they wanted me to do more pigs.

~ Walt Disney
I respond with a quote from the book "Disney A to Z - The Updated Official Encyclopedia" (1998 edition), which states:
Even though Walt Disney professed he did not like to make sequels, he was occasionally persuaded by economic reality to make them against his best judgement.
Walt Disney actually had a lot of sequels brought out... Just to make more money! He had 3 sequels to "Thre Three Little Pigs"!

If you're quoting someone, you should tell the whole story, and not the part you like

I would only be happy with a new Snow White if they used the same technical methods employed for the original. Snow White is a unique film and nothing did was ever like it again. I just have a feeling that if it ever did come about it would not have the depth and warmth that the original has visually but would look too flat.

Is it possible that you're mistaking Snow White and Cinderella and talking about Ever After: A Cinderella Story? It's personally one of my favorite movies, and it usually sells for very cheap in stores :)

There is something called "Happily Ever After"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099733/
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Oh, sorry! I actually own that movie, that's even worse  My excuse is that the French title is nowhere near "Happily Ever After", it's "Blanche-Neige et les 7 naines" which roughly translates into "Snow White and the Seven (Female) Dwarfs"!

But Ever After is good too!

Some sequels I can justify, but among the titles on the list of Disney films I never want(ed) to see sequels to, Snow White is number 1. She rides off into the sunset to live happily ever after with her prince. Leave it at that. It's perfect as is. "The Aristocats 2" on the other hand was greatly anticipated after I heard the premise and it's sad it won't see the light of day anytime soon.

I always thought there was a rumoured Sleeping Beauty II?? But I gues as she is in Enchanted Tales, its the same kinda thing. I want a Beauty and the beast sequal set AFTER the original, when they are not all enchanted. , that would be cool!

Hmmmm yes, it would. The Enchantress could come back? Not to enchant people, but because she needs Beast's help??? Gaston's brother wants revenge??? :P :P

Seems to me at the time there were rumors of SW2 a lot of Disney boards were over run with sequel bashers. I used to be very vocal against sequel bashing but it caused a lot of trouble.

I actually remember that "Happily Ever After" movie. It's been years since I saw it, but I remember that one their way to the castle Prince Charming is captured and Snow White has to save him before they can get married.

For some reason I thought this was a Don Bleuth film but I'm not sure.
