Does anyone know if WM Supercenters will be carrying the new wave? I thought if someone was a WM employee they might know if they have a display for these or will only be carrying a few volumes. I remember that they carried waves 3 & 4 but wasn't sure if they would have them or not. If so i'm going to ask my parents to get me the wave for xmas. I would go check for myself tomorrow, but I am going to be busy all week w/work. Any help would be appreciated.

There's this site you might not've heard of called www.ultimatedisney.com that posts the reviews when they are done, when it is posted that a review is out, then there a chance the review is out!
Yes, I think it does matter. I truly think I truly think it does. In the past, we've managed to figure out what specifically will be on what discs before the sets were officially released, so why can't more of the same be expected here?
Your really being quite thick. Ichabod is right. It is irrelevant. The total content matters but by individual disc, it will be on the chapter insert. We were able to figure it out before because Disney told us in the press releases. Right now why dont you let the reviewers do their jobs instead of answering the question. As Luke said, we will find out if the Figaro cartoons are there once they have gone all the way through it. Given the incredible amount of stuff Disney has released in a matter of weeks we need to let them catch up.

I guess my only recommendation is to give them a phone call and if they have it, ask them to reserve it for you until you can come by to pick it up. You know, ask them and then make sure other shoppers are forbidden to lay so much as a finger on it! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Definitely call WM ask ask for them to place one of each desired volume back for you to claim and purchase later -- if they agree to do this, it may very well be for a limited time, like end of day.

Also ask if they could pick the cleanest (least dents), if they wouldn't object!

Another idea.... if this WM is a 24-hour store, consider taking a trip to the store at Midnight, just in case they put the Treasures on the shelves. But, be prepared: they may or may not unpack them at that time. And if you ask about the DVDs, a store clerk may or may not know what you're talking about.

That's just a warning, so you'll be prepared for anything. I may very well take that Midnight trip myself!!!

Nice and thorough review ... not so sure I want to get it now though. To think this was the one I thought I was gonna get anyway.

Given that importing Disney Treasures is a rather expensive affair for me I might just pass on this.

As for the first disc of Silly Symphonies being a bit rough ... I guess that much could really be explained by their age, some of these really are old. Wait and see when the review arrives I guess. As long as the video quality is equal to the previous set (and the older shorts on that were rough too, there's simply no avoiding that I think), you won't hear me complaining.

Well I'm sad too see that the repeated 10th anniversary show is identical to the one from the previous wave. If the supposed missing footage had been included this time, I may have been able to forgive Disney, but this really is inexcuseable. However I'm really looking forward to the remaining contents, with the excpetion of I Captured the King of the Leprechauns, which I already have on the Darby O' Gill DVD.

Why do people go through the hassle of retail anymore? 99% of the time it’s cheaper to order online and you save the stress of dealing with incompetent employees and the gas spent.

So, can anyone tell us if the 10th anniversary one is complete or the censored version?

Thanks for the suggestions, I would go at midnight, but I know for a fact that they don't unpack the new tuesday dvds until around 9 or 10 am. I can't figure that out for the life of me, and they are quite rude as they won't let you down the aisle until they are done unpacking it all. As for the hassel, as my parents aren't big online shoppers, never done it and never will, retail works for them. Even if you ordered them online you have no guarantee this time of year that you will get them in time for xmas or that you won't get dented tins if you are that concerned about that thing, which i'm not.

Back on topic, that was a great review, that is the set I want the most. I love nostalgic shows like this.

Dammit! I just saw the review. Very very disappointing that the 10th Anniversary episode is the very same as the first one! This proves Disney doesn’t care about the treasures like they did earlier on.

It should have been a completely new episode or a fixed version of the same episode! Instead they just ported the wave 1 version!

Does that really matter? Pick the half-way point and that's probably it. To get a definitive answer, you'll have to wait for Albert's review.

Bone trouble was included in the first wave. The other two are on the Mickey Mouse sets.

So are they or aren't they at least gonna update this version? I will admit the 10th Anniversary may seem a little overkill, but c'mon, Walt hosts this episode. With the exception of Disneyland at the World's Fair, I can't think of any other Walt-hosted episodes not already released on the Treasures series.

Aw, man. Oh well, it's better than nothing. Now, I just read the review and I know that Peter and the Wolf (seen on the Fourth Anniversary Show) is in color, but what about the cartoons on "Where Do Stories Come From"? When it was shown on Vault Disney, the cartoons were colorized while the rest of the show was black and white. Is that the case here as well? I sure hope so.

So anyone know if Costco is going to carry the wave? I've gotten the previous years there - but I know that theyre cutting back on DVD stock as of late. So I'm not sure if it'll be worth a stop or not.

I am glad that Kodak '59 is on here, but had been anticpating that it would be in color.... Being "Kodak", I would have thought they would of taped the show in bright beautiful colors for future showings.

Oh well...
