I love all the songs from TLM TV series too. :) Anyone remember the song "Dreaming" from "Songs From The Sea" (I think that's the title)? That one still brings tears to my eyes.....

There is practicly no information out about this sequel except that it is a prequel and has Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder (in the musical sneak peek), Eric and Ariel's sisters in it . The rest of the characters is unkown, as is the story. So right now, nobody here can answer your question. However, it is likely that Ursula will be in this sequel, as she has always been around in Ariel's younger days (judging from the series).

I wonder if some of the backstory that was discussed on the TLM DVD will be covered. I know originally Triton and Ursula were siblings. And if they will touch on Ursula's reign as Queen of Atlantica. I would love to see a movie with more Ursula :D

And before anyone says "how could they be?" because of how they look. Consider that Usula is a practitioner of dark magic. She may have once been a mermaid, but either by accident or design, looks the way she does now. Least that's an idea I came up for a fanfic a million years ago.

Are you sure that Eric will be in it? But, how can he if it's a prequel? :?

In 2008, the gang will return once more in which Rob Paulsen will provide the voice of Eric in "Little Mermaid III".
It has been confirmed on the Official Rob Paulsen website. This could mean that:

1. There's another time twisting storyline like in Cinderella III.
or
2. Ariel and Eric look back on Ariel's adventures (maybe Eric's too).

Note: I have no clue what this movie is about, so I'm just guessing about the type of story it will be. This is not official!

Rob Paulson does great voiceover work, but I would just love Christopher Daniel Barnes to come back and play Prince Eric once again. Even though he wasn't in TLMII, he was in Kingdom Hearts as Eric, so I don't see why he isn't coming back again. Booooo!!!! :(

I wondered if the movie would be a flashback, but if it was, surely Melody would be in it? But she isnt, as Tara Strong confirmed it. Grrrrrrrr I wish more info was around! The trailer wasn't exactly helpful for the plot line either!

Someone I know once showed me an early storyboard of The Little Mermaid III and it had Ariel and Eric on a ship, together with Sebastian... There was dialogue with it but I didn't have the time to read it. The fact is that Ariel and Eric together on a ship means that it's after their wedding at the end of the first movie, but it could be before the birth of Melody... It was a very early storyboard, so the story might have changed already. I think I do remember one line Eric says to Sebastian after Sebastian's nagging to the couple... I think it was "Oh Sebastian, don't be so crabby". I remembered it because it was so corny :P

So, that explains why Melody is not in it, if that storyboard became final film.

I'm affraid I'm not allowed to tell you that, but this was just for information to prove a point... Sorry!

He's a freelancer that sometimes works for Disney on several projects... That's all I can tell you :P I think that storyboard was actually the only one he did! He was excited about it though :P

Well, a storyboard is just to tell a story, so I can't comment on the quality of the drawings (of course, that person I know drew the characters spot-on, but you won't see that in the final film, even IF his scene is preserved). But from what I've seen it looked alright, it was very TLM-ish  It was a little scene with almost no dialogue... nothing special about it.

OMG! My thoughts exactly! I dont understand why he didnt do TLM II, but he did Kingdom Hearts II. Had he done the voice, the movie would have been 298173981752091875091873565281 times better!!!

And Disney Duster, OMG!!! that is awesome!!! where on earth did you get that?!?!

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I cannot explain how lovely it is for you to have done that for me. Well, all of us! Greatly apreciated!

It's nice to see something on the movie, apart from the two trailers. I ws beginning to think, as there was no information on the movie, that it was just a big marketing ploy, and there was no real movie!

The srotyboard is a cute sequence; I hope they use it. But I can't quite read what they are saying. Are they looking for a whale? And Sebastian thinks it's hopeless?? Well, whatever it is, I love it!

Again, thank you so much Disney Duster. You always help me out! Thank you so so so so so much!
