What non-Disney animation do you collect?

Any topic that doesn't fit elsewhere.

It's the first version. I bought it as soon as it came out and I just haven't gotten around to getting the uncut version.

I have read nothing but good reviews for Anastasia's "Family Fun Edition". I didn't know it was a two disc set. I'm sort of looking foward to purchasing this film. It's nice to know that there's animation out there that is at the same level as Disney films. Plus I'm sort of tired of Disney Films for now. I read the set includes both widescreen and fullscreen! It has English, Spanish, and French audio tracks. It has subtitles and extras! It's like a 20th Century Fox "Platinum Edition". I'm glad that there are still company's out there that prefer quality over quantity. I also like all Dreamworks films such as: El Dorado and The Prince of Egypt. I'm thinking of purchasing all of these very soon. I also collect Anime films.

I've collected all the Garfield TV specials DVDs that have been released in R2. Sadly, the collection isn't complete and considering what a dog's dinner they've made of compiling the R2s, it probably never will be. For reasons unknown, Garfield goes to Hollywood replaced Garfield gets a Life on our version of Garfield as Himself. Similarly, Garfield in the Rough replaced Garfield's Thanksgiving on the Holiday Celebrations DVD, presumably due to Thanksgiving's status an all-American holiday, they didn't think that European audiences would find it relevent (I find that attitude somewhat annoying, as there is no reason at all, in my view, why international audiences shouldn't be able to learn about the calander events of other cultures). Garfield Fantasies is the only DVD with matching content. I doubt very much that any equivilent to Travel Adventures will be released in R2, given that two of the specials have already been released upon different DVDs, and I can't see them releasing the three remaining specials under their own title.

It's really annoying, since it means that I'll probably never own Garfield in Paradise, one of my very favourites, on DVD (I do have it on video, so that's something at least), and plus I find it frustrating that if I want the complete set, I'll have to import three R1 DVDs consisting mostly of specials which I already own. :(

I'm not even going to get started on the Garfield and Friends R2 DVD release. Boy, have they really screwed things up...

Anyhow, enough ranting. Fortunately, I've had more luck with Hanna Barbara animation, and have managed to get hold of the complete sets to Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines without any hassle.

If Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain were released in R2, I would most certainly collect them. The same goes for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Anything I can get. I particularly would like to have complete collections of the WB/DC comics shows and animated movies (Batman, Superman, Justice League, Teen Titans, etc..., don't have much yet) and Sailor Moon. Also would love to get all that Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera stuff out there, and Animaniacs, and there's definitely some other stuff I wish would get DVD releases. I'd also like to get more of certain Adult Swim shows. Right now, I have the first Family Guy and Aqua Teen sets.

Doh! I forgot Pixar... I mean, they are kind of lumped in CG films, but they really deserve their own spot.. I have every feature they have released so far, as well as the Laserdisc box set of Toy Story.

I'm in the same boat! That was so lame the way they did that! However, I guess it's become common now, with Unrated releases coming out sometimes after (or at the same time as) the initial releases.

Anastasia
Thumbelina
TITAN A.E.
All Dogs Go to Heaven
The Prince of Egypt
The Road to El Dorado
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest
The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot
The Corpse Bride

I also have 2 dvds from the Flintstones' series, 1 dvd from the Scooby-Doo series and 1 from the Batman Series. I'm not very proud of having them though. I'm really having a good time while watching them, it's just the animation that SUCKS!!

Mostly Don Bluth stuff.

- The Land Before Time
- The Secret of NIMH
- All Dogs Go to Heaven
- Anastasia
- An American Tail

I've seen Miyazaki's Spirited Away and someday I'll get to Princess Mononoke. That's one I do want to watch. Seen most of the stop-motion stuff that Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass had co-produced through the 60s and 70s. A couple of Pokemon films, and much Saturday morning television from who knows where. :p
