Disney copied Atlantis from another manga...!!!
There is a rumor that Disney ripped off another japanese animated series. The victim this time is "Nadia: Secret of Blue Water" which Disney used to make their own Atlantis, and it is very beliable since many of the characters look alike, if you take a look at Nadia, John, Captain Nemo and Electra, you'll see the similiraties.

And Squid, guess what? I got here in June, 2003 so I didn't check every thread that was here before me. And anyway, that thread was started 6 days ago, so don't exagerate, and that discussed the Lion King Ripoff, not Atlantis.
I think Squid meant this 'story' is 2 years old, not a discussion of it here.Tangela wrote:Yeah well, I think it is disgusting, that face makes me feel sick.Commodore Barbosa wrote:Maerj! That avatar nearly made me fall off my seat laughing!!!! It's hilarious!![]()

Thank you very much Commodore! But, I have changed my avatar as I can see that it was greatly upsetting Tangela. So, sorry about any bad feeling that the last avatar may have cause. I hope you like my brand new avatar much more.Commodore Barbosa wrote:Maerj! That avatar nearly made me fall off my seat laughing!!!! It's hilarious!![]()

If you want a good explanation here it goes, he knows I hate mj's (Small letter's means disrespect) face and he added the bust pictures to annoy me, I don't know why he wants to do it, but I don't care, I'll just ignore his threads and posts.Maerj wrote:This short thread: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... php?t=1929 should explain things.herman_the_german wrote:So what's the connection with the grim grinning ghosts?
About this whole "that movie faked that movie" deal. When you dig enough, you'll find resemblence in all animated pictures. The artists that make these animated movies are well aware of all the things that they can put in to make succes. Ok, maybe someone made this another time. But can you really say they faked it then? I don't think the creators of had to stop craeting Atlantis when they saw this other movie. After all, IF there is resemblence, you're only making it better! So stop nagging and get on with life, this is really digging into stuff.

God knows... Really all of Disney's films come from another book not written by the company, so they're all copies since not a single one, only Peter Pan which is very close, has been like the original.Grunches wrote:What other movies did Disney copied![]()
The Rescuers was written by Margery Sharp but the film "The Rescuers" (1977) is very different from the original. The Black Cauldron, I believe was written by Alexander Lloyd or something, and the film is mostly criticized not because of its darkness, but because it doesn't follow the book.

Has anyone seen the new DVD that came out October 9 called
King of the Jungle
The main character (Leo?) is supposedly, and I quote:
"The ORIGINAL Lion King
If it really was the original, where was it in 1994?
And what about those rumours that J.K. Rowling copied Harry Potter from the earlier book Larry Hotter?
I don't think that matters. Did Nadia make a lot of money and become world-renowned? Did King of the Jungle? Did Kimba? Did Larry Hotter?????
I don't think so. Disney just took the ideas and improved upon them.
Now I know there's legal rights and stuff, but I'm not willing to get that complicated. School let out on Friday, so my brain has offically shut down until January 5 (or 6th of it's a snow day!)!
