Review of Disneyworld's 2006 Halloween Events....

Hello everyone. I have not posted in the forums much since I came home from my last trip in July. I have been lurking;however, and there is a ton of new news (aka- Ariel PE madness). Well I'm back.

In a few hours I'll be in Disneyworld to attend "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party". I've never been to the party so I don't know alot about it. I am looking foward to the "Boo to You Parade", "Hallowishes, and the "Villain's Mix & mingle". If anyone has been to MNSSHP what is it like? Will I meet Maleficent? lol.

My Flight leaves at 9:00am Tomorrow morning I'm returning back hme Monday mornng. I'll be staying at the Polonesian Resort. I am going to MNSSHP on Friday Night. I'll also be there on the first day of the "Year of a Million Dreams" I'll take pictures and videos and post an entire trip report including details about the new shows and events for the "Year of a Million Dreams".

That is awesome. I've always wanted to see the parks at Halloween and look forward to your pics. Halloweenwishes sounds awesome. I saw the Christmas version last December and it was amazing what they did with the show.

I've been to the Halloween party, and I loved it! Hope you have fun.

As for the villains meet-and-greet, I met a lot of them (Cruella, Gaston, Frollo, Queen of Hearts, Snow Witch, King John, Governer Ratcliff etc..)

I did meet Maleficent aswell. I had to wait a little while for her to make her arrival, but it was totally worth it to meet my favorite Disney character!

thats really cool! iv'e been to it and its a real blast! And they don't just have the villians walking around they really hard to find characters, like when i went last time i met tarzan and jane! anyway, its really fun and i hope you have a great time.

Thanks lord-of-sith for the character info. I've never met Maleficent Before and i've been to Disneyworld like 12 times. Hopefully i'll meet her there.

I'm back from my trip. It was Amazing. The "Villains Mix and Mingle" was the greatest show i've ever seen!!

I took a ton of video. (can someone help me? how do I transfer video from my Sony DVD Handycam to my Computer so I can upload it on the web. I thought I could use a USB cord but my Sony DVD handycam model does not use a usb).

Anyway I can't wait to post a full trip report including the new things they had for "Year of a Mllion Dreams". I'll post a full report by Friday

Hello Everyone,
First off I would like to apologize for updating this thread 3 months after my first post. Once I got back from Disneyworld on September 2nd, 2006 life got very hectic. I was studying hard for the November SAT exam (which I did very well on ). I was then very busy filling out many college applications, and writing a large amount of essays to send to those colleges. Then came Thanksgiving, directly after that I finished all my college applications. I am now waiting patiently until I receive my acceptance letters in January. I have been lurking in the Forums for quite some time and have decided to post. I'm amazed at all the news that has happened over the last 3 months. On Tuesday I went to see Roy Disney for a True-Life Adventures DVD signing in Manhattan. That was a wonderful experience. I even got him to sign my Snow White Platinum edition. Now I'm back, and over the next few days I’ll fill you all in on Halloween 2006 at Disneyworld.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was truly a dream come true for me. I saw more Villain events (including a live Villain castle show, hosted by Maleficent) then I could imagine. Great to hear you had a good time! I love Disney World on Halloween. Loved the videos you posted (some of the greatest Disney park footage I've seen in a long time). Great to see Maleficent highly featured.
