Aladdin on IMAX
Does anyone have any solid information that Aladdin will be out on IMAX on January 1 like promised? I read a rumor that they canceled the IMAX release and it is going to go right to video/DVD in 2004.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I think I'm gonna ......
If the work is already been done though, I am not sure how they would stand to lose more ... but I guess that is just my ignorance. Other than marketing it (which it is already late to do), not sure how Disney could lose more money. Anyone care to educate me ?

The amount of money
made by Beauty and the Beast and Lion King at IMAX was nothing compared to the DVD sales.
I loved watching both on the big screen, but not enough others did.
All the extra work was for the DVD sales. Both Beauty and LK did excellent sales on DVD.

They could loose money becuase striking new film prints costs money. Even though there's very few IMAX cinemas. Plus, they would need to advertise the showings...
I suppose the IMAX releases of the other films didn't even cover these costs.
It's odd Jim Hill doesn't mention Fantasia 2000, which of course wasn't a IMAX re-release.
