Question....

Post by Matt »

I know everyone is used to me as BATBfan1 since I came back to the site.
But for some strange reason, I must had signed into my old name when I posted the comment about the Blueray DVDs.

My question is....
this is the old name I wanted back and this is who I am (It is my name as well)

Would it be ok with the Luke and the Mods to put BATBfan1 post and counts to this one? :?
Can you even do that?
I really like this Username WAY better than BATBfan1.

I want to ask before I started to use this one again.
I do not want to confuse anyone what so ever.
But I would rather be on this one than BATBfan1.

Thanx so much!

And Escpay for pointing it out!

Can't be done and even if it could, it wouldn't be a good precedent to set. If you want me to deactivate the BatBFan1 account and use this, that's fine, but all those posts made in the second account won't be linked to this. Alternatively, I can delete the Matt account and change your screenname to BatBFan1. Either way, you need to decide on one account so we can get rid of the other. And you'll probably need a signature disclaimer no matter what way you go.

I'd probably go with deleting the Matt account and renaming the BATBfan1 account to Matt. That way the majority of posts would be from the BATBfan1 time.

On the other side, though, if he kept the Matt account, he'd get a chance to be Super Genius again since he'd restart with a lower post count! I wish I were able to be Super Genius again without having to sacrifice my posts (don't care for the post count, just for what's in the actual posts).

Question, though: would deleting the account delete the posts the person made or would it simply have a blank information space like it does when a "Guest" posts in Feedback?

but I don't want to be known as BATBfan1, I want to be known as Matt because thats my name and what I use for all my forums (Well this one and another one)

What I have in my signature would that count if you changed my BATBfan1 to Matt and delete this one?

And also, change my account sign up time to Sept. 2003? :?

SO confused! :(

Can't do that either. The only way to have a September 2003 sign-up date is to use the Matt account. The only way to have your larger body of posts attached to Matt is to rename the BatBFan account. This is why it doesn't pay to sign up on a second name when you've been banned, even if I let this slide.

So once again, you can choose...

1. to continue posting with all your BATBFan1 posts linked to your account and have the name changed to "Matt" and have "Matt" completely deactivated, and a signature disclaimer noting you are BATBFan1.

2. to continue posting as BATBFan1 and merely have "Matt" completely deactivated.

3. to have BATBFan1 deactivated, and the Matt account resurfaced with the signature disclaimer that you are BATBFan1.

Let me know ASAP.

The post count doesn't really matter does it. Not to me anyway.

Unless there is a prize for the most posts.

There is but Luke wins it every month. I think the prize is getting to delete spammer accounts or something like that.

Luke - I will do this number three.
I feel this is the best way to go because I was originally Matt from the start and I still am today. :)
I love Beauty and the Beast don't get me wrong but I would rather be known as Matt around here.
I feel it is a more personal username because heck... it is my name lmao. :D

Now with me being banned before, I still don't see why everyone must bring it up. I was 20 when I signed up, I am going to be 25 years old. I admit I was immature back then but I did a lot of growing up. Why can't people accept that around here and move on? :?
It seems like a lot of members are Christian on here, do you guys not know the golden rule about forgiving? :(
That really sadness me. At least I know my God won't judge me. :)
Yes, I am the same Matt but MORE mature. Yes, I do get into with some members on the boards but that what a forum is to state your opinion and everyone does that shamelessly here so I do not see anything different from anyone else.

A am not going to get into with you Aaron because it seems like you always like to pick a fight with me and turn it around for me to look like the bad guy. It's a shame because you CAN be a good mood when you want to be and other times you are... well I will be nice. :D
Anyway, you seem to be a fan of Amy Grant, do you not listen to any of her lyrics? Why do you listen to her if nothing really gets to you and you don't follow Christian ways? :?

OHH, and to answer your question about the spamming ... no I wasn't :)

That's ALL!

And thanx again Luke for understanding, you really are a great person inside!

Aaron wasn't referring to you at all with the spammer comment. It's a little-known fact that this forum gets about 10-20 new members each day trying to pimp sex and weight loss pills, Russian brides, etc., etc. So, in joking, Aaron was saying that this was the reward for posting more than anyone else.

Going to close out BATBFan1 now.

Matt,

As Luke explained, my post was a joke about all the work Luke has to do. I certainly didn't mean to call you a spammer. I didn't have you in mind at all when writing that. I hope you aren't still offended.

Thanks, the reason I asked you is because the title of your thread is "question" so I thought maybe any question could be asked. Since it's not specific.
