Watched Desperate Housewives last night, and was blown away with the cliffhanger ending. Also DVR'd the complete "Band of Brothers" from HBO (finally) and will spend the day today duping that to DVD+R. What a great series, now I will have it on DVD forever. Couldn't see spending $100 on it, I knew that they would eventually replay it in its entirety on one day.

Before They Were Stars - an old special on The Family Channel (from an old tape, before The Family Channel became ABC Family or whatever it became)
HBO's Buy Me That 3 - an old HBO program from around '92 / '93 that functions as a scathing expose of the marketing / TV advertising practices of U.S. Cereal, Fast Food, and Candy companies. But with a very light-hearted tone. I watched it 2 days ago, and I haven't had another can of cola since

Last night was the best night on television - we watched Standoff and House and then we watched American Idol 2006 - The Final Eight.
"Standoff" was brilliantly written, and had a great guest star cast and raises a lot of questions about bullies in school. Next week's show looks really good also.
"House" was amazing, as usual. I can't think of anyone else but Hugh Laurie who could pull this character off. He is England's gift to American television. No 'House' next week, it will be two weeks before we see the final show in this six-week arc with the back story about Greg House's drug addiction. Looks pretty good from the teaser.

Torchwood
Well, just as I was starting to loose interest in the series along comes an episode like this. Wow, at last we get what Torchwood's remit promised: an adult sci-fi drama dealing with adult issues and surprisingly the first signs of peoper character development. I loved this episode, although it still exhibited some of the faults of the programme in that there was somewhat headline grabbing (but not totally gratuitous) girl-on-girl action; Captain Jack was still a bit of a jerk (but not totally) and Torchwood themselves are still laughably inept (and about as secret as a fart in an elevator).
Still, I enjoyed it enormously. Tosh has had her story (and was an acting tour-de-force), more hints about Jack's post resurrection nature were dropped, an interesting aside was made about Ianto and, although it shouldn't matter, I thought it had some of the best visual effects I've seen on a television show ever (and that includes American series too).
9/10.

Tonight watched the Wichita State Shockers kick UMKC's butt, and then watched Bones. What a great show. This one was called "The Headless Witch in the Woods" and kept you guessing all the way till the end. This probably my new favorite series of 2006 right behind "Desperate Housewives" and "House".

Desperate Housewives - Come In, Stranger.
I'm currently re-watching the entire series while the show is on hiatus. This is the fourth time I've watched my season one DVD and it will be the second time I've watched my season two DVD.

MTV's Beauty and the Geek - it looks like the last Season 2 episode that aired. There was an elimination between Brandon (this guy is one hot geek!!) and Amanda and the other pair who I think their names were Tristan and Chris(?).
This is the first episode of this show I've seen all the way through, and I hated the fact that it was so predictable. So I might watch another but I might never forget the fact that this show has been focusing so much on Chris and made him the guy everyone hates that you know there's no way they were going to let him go so soon. Reality is supposed to at least feel real or it insults the audience's intelligence.

I watched:
Angel - Season 1: Episodes 1-4, then moved on to watch episode 5 of Buffy Season 4, Angel episode 5, and then watched episodes 6,7 and teaser of episode 8 on Buffy. Big mistake! I really need a list of all the cross-over events so that I don't let one show spoil the other.

I loved Olivia! The original episode of Stewie and Olivia's duo is my favorite episode, so it was good to see her return. Plus Peter's movie was hilarious! Especially Bonnie give birth to Lois, and Joe running with video game legs!
Anyways, I watched a few episodes off my Simpsons Christmas DVD.

I used Ebay and got it for $5. I was a bit sceptical at first because the seller only posted a stock photo, but it was the only one that was available. I'm so happy that you posted it on the "New Other Item" thread, or else I wouldn't have even known this existed!Lazario wrote:Good for you. Did you use Ebay or Amazon.com?

Did that get released to DVD? I remember watching that show a few times, but I could never understand the plotlines.Lazario wrote:Various episodes of MTV's Undressed from the 2nd and 3rd season.
