Just saw another GREAT episode of "Heroes!" I'm falling more in love with Jayma Mays with each episode, even though she only came out in the last few moments of the show today! However, this episode was supposed to show us what they meant by "Save the cheerleader, save the world," and it didn't! Oh well. It was still very good, but I wish they had covered Hiro's story with Jayma's waitress character. Guess we're supposed to see that next week, since they showed us a couple minutes of it at the end.

Okay, WTF?
I thought this episode was supposed to bring things together and answer questions, and it sooo did not. I was dumbfounded by the ending!
Once again, I was surprised by the total absence of Matt and his storyline, and the virtual absence of Hiro and Nathan.
My mouth dropped when Jackie died! That was incredibl unexpected. That whole scene was done really well, but, at the same time, I felt gyped. I was hoping for a lot more.
When Eden showed up in front of Sylar, I was like "Whose side is she on?!?!" And I still don't know if she has powers or not. The mysterious Hatian (definitely NOT DL) showed up and put Sylar to sleep. Weird.
Claire's dad also continues to stump me.
Peter was amazing! I thought at first he wasn't going to make it, but he did, and it was great! I'm guessing this is where his scar comes from.
Nikki (Jessica) kills DL?? What??
Lastly, Mohinder doesn't seem too important to the show to me. I get that he's there to eventually show the heroes their purpose and how to use their powers, but they're all learning this on their own. What purpose does he serve? And what is the deal with the list? How did his dad get all the heroes in one database??
In any case, the next episode looks great. I am so buying this show on DVD!

The show seems to imply that the heroes were "given" their powers. I don't know if I like that, but it will be interesting to see how that works out. I really liked this last episode, though I agree it didn't answer the questions it promised too. It was "To Be Continued" though, so maybe they were talking about the next episode as if it was part of this last one. Perhaps the next will answer the questions. Personally, I can't stand waiting to see what is going on with Hiro and the waitress, and to see if she survives and stays on the show (of course, I severely want her to stay on the show!). I'll definitely be getting this on DVD as well, along with Smallville (which I only have Season 1 of right now, but am expecting seasons 2-4 of for Christmas!).
As for bringing things together though, I was definitely getting excited with the way Peter was getting in contact with the other Heroes. It DOES seem that they are coming together! I loved that! Yeah, Claire's father is still ambiguous. I thought it was pretty clear that Eden's power was Mind Control. I think she's on her own side now, though before she was doing whatever Claire's dad told her to do (and we don't know about him yet). I think Eden is starting to want to get people in her corner, and that's why she didn't kill the serial killer. On the other hand, maybe not. Claire's dad didn't actually tell her to "kill" him.
They seem to have too many characters with separate lives to work them all into each episode, unfortunately. All I know is I prefer the episodes that don't focus too much on one or two characters. Well, unless they're favorite characters like Hiro. Peter is becoming a fave character now too, but when did he realize his power was temporarily absorbing other people's powers? It was interesting how he and Hiro's friend felt they were nothing without other heroes around. I wonder what will happen with Hiro's friend in the future...
I'm not convinced that DL will be killed. He can make himself so that bullets pass through him, and he was already aware that Nikki might be around.
Yeah, I know what you mean about Mohinder. We'll just have to wait and see.

Yea, I really hope Charlie isnt gone for good. I really wanna see more of her character.
Mohinder now just annoys the sh*t outta me. His screen time is such a waste, IMO. And I'm on the fence about Matt.
So it seems Sylar had no power and took it from that guy Brian. Atleast thats the imperssion I got.
Im really hooked on this show. One episode a week simply isnt enough. I cant wait for the season set for this show. I hope its packed with extras!!!

I agree! This show is great!slave2moonlight wrote:Man, this show is just soooo good! That backstory on Sylar was just awesome, and I am officially in love with Jayma Mays! They can't have truly killed her off!!!! What's up with Hiro's powers? Man, I feel like a fan-boy, but this is awesome!
This episode was awesome and very needed. I am so glad they finally gave us all this information. While we still have some questions unanswered, we got so much answered.
Sadly, I think they did kill Charlie. Remember the point that Hiro made that he can't change the past? He won't be able to save her. But we sure jumped from "six months ago" to present day very quickly. I think there might still be some flashbacks with her in them, so, while her character won't be around in the present, we would still get to see Jayma's adorable smile.
I think Hiro's powers knew he was trying to change the past, and that's why he couldn't go back.
Nathan flew out of his car? Why did his powers suddenly activate? And does his wife not remember what happened?
Nikki is possessed by her sister? That doesn't seem so "heroic." Also, what did DL do? Why does she want to kill him?
Sylar was awesome! But how does he get the powers? Does he (ew) eat the brain? And how does he get the power to cut open people's heads?
The next episode looks TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!
I wonder who's going to die...

I think with Sylar he might have had some kind of super-genius power to figure out how to steal the powers of others. Unless you want to just call it being REALLY smart. Or, he might have some sort of power absorption power. I mean, I hate to think that just ANYONE can get these powers by eating the brain of someone who has them, ha.
Ha, when I heard the part about Charlie's brain tumor (if that's what it was, I forget). I was thinking he could figure out a way to take her to the future with him to some point where she could be cured.
I wonder if what we saw was all that actually happened? Did he just disappear in front of her when they were going to get on the bus? Did they never get to take the trip together?
Well, he's been getting a lot of powers from the other people he has killed, so who knows what all he can do. Don't know if he eats their brains or not, ha.

I don't know if I buy that he CAN'T change the past. I mean, in a way he DID change it a little bit. They might just make it his personal quest to one day figure out how to go back and save Charlie. I did think it was kind of weak that he wasn't determined to keep trying though. Even though he said he tried several times (was that something they skipped over?). It's possible they are just making this Hiro's great tragedy, like Batman losing his parents or Spidey his uncle. I don't know yet, but I will be very sad not to see more of Jayma. Still no clue as to why he couldn't use his powers in that one part. I don't think his powers could "know," but it brings up the question of, "Is someone orchestrating all of this?" That "someone" might have not wanted him to tamper with the past.numba1lostboy wrote: Sadly, I think they did kill Charlie. Remember the point that Hiro made that he can't change the past? I took it as an instinctual reaction to being attacked. The wife probably thinks he got thrown out of the car somehow, ha. I don't know.numba1lostboy wrote:Nathan flew out of his car? Why did his powers suddenly activate? And does his wife not remember what happened?
Nikki never seemed that much like a hero to me, actually, except with the way she tries to take care of her son. I mean, her powers never seemed heroic or anything, and I always thought she might turn out to be a villain. I still think it's possible. Actually, maybe the one who had powers was her sister. The power to come back from the grave and take over her sister's body, with superhuman strength of some sort (or killing skills at least)? I don't know what her deal is with D.L.. At the moment it just seems that her sister doesn't want him taking away the son. Before that I think she just thought of him as a loser and a fall guy.numba1lostboy wrote:Nikki is possessed by her sister? That doesn't seem so "heroic." Also, what did DL do? Yeah, ha, I don't know how I feel about them killing someone off already. Maybe it will be Hiro's powerless friend, ha. Anyway, a hero already died, Charlie! They need to save her somehow!numba1lostboy wrote:The next episode looks TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!

I dont think Sylar eats the brain, I think he just opens it and takes out the part of it that gives the person powers and puts it in his own brain.
And I dont think Charlie had a brain tumor. I think what doctors saw was that same little thing in her brain that gives her powers.
I wish I had one of those things in my brain.
lol

Sylar doesnt eat the brains....he has to kill the people w/ abilities & then he can absorb their powers.
ok- ive developed quite the crush on nathan petrelli- "wave hi to daddy!"...
i dont get claires dad. i can see his intentions are just to help his daughter- but was he really helping out the others he held in his possession for a few days & left them those scars?
Some one is gonna die- who is it gonna be? I dont think it will be DL. I bet somehow he is gonna use his power so the bullet goes through him, or Micha will stop the bullet w/ his powers or something.

I'm annoyed with her already. I think she'd best suit the show as a villain.numba1lostboy wrote:While I don't want Nikki to become a villian, but I think that would be a cool and understandable twist.slave2moonlight wrote:Perhaps Micah will get killed, and that will turn Nikki into an all-out villain.

The only thing that annoys me about her is that we still don't fully understand how her "power" works...if you can even call it a power. It seems to me like she's possessed.slave2moonlight wrote:I'm annoyed with her already. That on top of the fact that they have spent so much time on HER story (while revealing so little). That's exactly what I find annoying about her at this point. Plus, all the "drama" whenever her story takes center stage, ha.numba1lostboy wrote: The only thing that annoys me about her is that we still don't fully understand how her "power" works...if you can even call it a power. Talk about going out with a bang! 2006 definitely ends on a cliffhanger in the Heroes universe.
Claire's dad knows about her powers and has made the Haitian erase the memories of her brother, her friends, and her mother (who is nowhere to be found). Then the Haitian shows up in Claire's house and begins to talk, seemingly saying that he will not be erasing Claire's memory, saying it was vital that she retain it. Still a mystery as to whose side Mr. Bennet is on.
Sylar, after being held against his will, buts out of Bennet's containment cell, but not before giving Eden no choice but to blast her own brains out. Shame...she was cute (what is it with this show and killing off all the attractive ladies?).
Hiro comes into contact with Isaac and the two converse about powers and the explosion to come. Isaac also finds out he is able to use his powers without getting high. Yay! Incidentally, Isaac draws a picture of Hiro facing a T-Rex, garnering from Hiro the best line of the show so far: "I'm going to need to find a sword."
Speaking of an explosion, Peter has a dream at the end of the episode that tells him that he is the explosion. This dream came to him when he was alone with his brother, so, obviously, there are unanswered questions about his power.
Nikki seems to have finally gained control of her powers. She realizes she is a threat to her family, so she turns herself in for a murder that actually never happened.
Mohinder returns, finding a note from Eden in his apartment. She then calls him right before confronting Sylar, apologizing for lying to her.
Matt recognizes the Haitian when he shows up at the PD with Mr. Bennet. He still doesn't know who he is, though.
In Peter's dream, Hiro, Ando, Isaac, Simone, Nathan, Peter, Claire, DL, Nikki, Micah, and Matt are all present. incredibly confusing, but refreshing to see all the heroes together. The theory of Nikki becoming a villian seems to be shot down, as she is seen with Micah and DL, running from Peter. Again, she seems to have gained control. Nathan is the only mystery in the dream. He is the only one walking toward Peter. I thought he was going to kill him.
But why does Peter explode?
Characters virtually abest from this episode: Nathan, Simone, Mohinder, Radiation guy.
January 22nd cannot come fast enough! Bring on 2007!!

O... M... G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT AN AMAZING EPISODE!!!! The end of that episode was the best ever!!!!!!!
and poor Eden..
And she never got to call Mohinder to "explain" everything to him... grr.. now he doesnt even know shes dead!
and a total "WTF?!" from the Hatian guy! It sucks he erased Zach's memory!!! I loved Claire and Zach! (even though I think Zach is gay)
Speaking of Claire, I dont know if anyone noticed, but at the end, when she runs up to Peter, right before she turns to run, she says "I'm sorry". I wonder why she says that!
I DONT WANT PETER TO GO BOOM!!! (Im totally crushing on Peter right now!
lol) It kinda sucks that he's trying to be the hero and trying to save everyone, when in the end, he somehow causes the explosion. (which I think has something to do with Ted, the radioactive man)
Im so excited that Isaac finally used his powers with out shooting up!!
I think the whole exchange with Peter and Matt in the interrogation room was pretty funny.... other than that, not too much from Matt.
Nikki has lost her mind
she thinks shes protecting her family, but we'll see how that turns out. We can see she doesnt go to jail... or if she does, she gets out, cause she's at the scene at the end with the explosion.
So thats all from tonight I think. I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW EPISODES!!!!! AND FOR SEASON 1 DVD'S!!!! Thank god Heroes was created, I needed quality freaks on tv!!

Well, I don't know about you guys, but for me, it's gonna be worse than Isaac trying to quit cold turkey. No Heroes 'till Jan 22nd! I'm gonna die!!!!!! I'm a Heroes junkie!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAHHHHHHHHhhhh......
<_<
>_>
I'm okay now. lol
The episode was superb. The ending was amazing. But I don't want Peter to go BOOM either.
But there is something that's bugging me. How come when Hiro went to the future, Isaac was on the floor dead and in Peter's vision Isaac was alive and well holding Simone back right before Peter went all Hiroshima on NY? That leads me to believe that it was just another one of Peter's dreams. Like the one he had with Simone's father. This isn't actually going to happen. Just a near accurate representation of what may happen. What do you guys think?
Needless to say that they need to delve deeper into the nature of Peter's powers.
