Write. Don't let people tell you not to. Screw them. Write anything you want. Share it if you want. And ignore all nay-sayers.

I agree with Siren. If you have an idea, go with it and who cares if they attack you? Just ignore it. One the same hand, that works both ways. Don't attack or jumpo down the throats of those who disagree with you and think the ending to Anastasia is perfect the way it is.

Disney's Endings aren't always happy...look at Pocahontas. I know everyone will say, they were together in spirit, that's what it meant by the leaves and the wind and the waving at the end. But seriously has anyone ever jumped outside on a windy day and shouted, I CAN FEEL YOU POCAHONTAS! No. In my opinion Pocahontas and John Smith didn't end up together...sad ending. Dimitri and Anastasia were together, very happy ending.

It goes with the way I feel about the real Anastasia. Before 1999 I would have bet you a million bucks they were all wiped out but not anymore. When I worked in an old warehouse in St. Louis strange ideas came to me and when I looked at a photo of Anastasia during exile some very old dreams of mine came back and made sense. One I thought was about pins in skin but was the Imperial crown of Russia and another I was outside that big palace near St. petersburg. I was in the first or second grade when I had those dreams. I have fell Anastasia was meant to rule Russia and was not killed in 1918 but where she went or is I don't have a clue. Anastasia means one who will rise again and that may be no conscience she was named that.

One of the reasons I can't stand Don Bluth films and Anastasia in particular is the "over acting". The expressions in the faces of the characters are so extreme and overdone it's terrible. It's all so exagerated.

Man, I was going to stay away from posting in this thread, but I couldn't resist. First of all, in the note she left her grandmother, she says, "We'll be together in Paris again soon." (Or something to that extent.) Therefore, the ending really is open-ended. She isn't running away from royalty and she plans on coming back again. Maybe she won't officially become a Grand Duchess, but you get the idea that this isn't the last she'll see of her grandmother or, most likely, royal life. Why didn't they go back to the party? Well, did you see the crazy scary stuff they went though that night? They had every right to want to get away. Plus, they were in love and people in love don't always care much about conventions or about ruining expensive parties. They weren't "cowards" for going off and doing their own thing.

Plus, it's a movie, for goodness sake. And one that's full of plotholes at that. That's all I have to say on the matter (for now).

I just can't write anything without her returning to royalty. I feel from things I have experienced concerning the Romanovs that something is trying to tell me something like maybe history is wrong I am not sure what .

Good job!

It's looking better than the new edition by miles.

I always thought the theatrical release poster was beautiful and should have been used as the DVD cover.

I like the special edition cover but it the original animators should have done it. images and clipart of Anastasia in the yellow dress or coronation dress are next to impoosible to find given most fansite are long dead I have to use Powerdvd and capture them from the dvd.

Here's another one I don't know where to put these things anyway.

I just saw the ending of the 1956 somebody botched that one too. She just left with no explanimtion why did she do that? EXTERMINATE!!! the bad writers or as the cybermen say inferior writing units will be deleted.

Am I the only one that feels she should have ending up like this?

WARNING!!!! HUGE SPOILERS!!!!
to those of you who don't alreadyknow, that is! :D

I'm really sorry to ruin it to you, but they have found the bodies- actually the skeletons- of the royal family including Anastasia's. How are they so sure it was them, you'll ask. Well they made DNA tests and it was revealed it was them. The Russian church made the Romanovs saints. They were killed when Anastasia was a little girl and everything beyond this is pure fiction. Of course one can believe whatever one wants. Like many of us want to keep on believing in Santa Claus etc.
Oh and Rasputin was not a magician but a corrupted monk who had sexual relations with the Queen- Anastasia's mom- and many others from the royal court.

Sorry, I just had to write those!
But I think we don't have to confuse historical events with a beautiful animated film! Anastasia is a great movie, after all.[/b]

Two bodies were never found one of the girls and Alexei's no one knows as of yet what happened to them. Trust me I am not crazy. I meant I saw the 1956 version ending above I forgot to put version in the eariler post. I have done lots of research into this subject. I don't expect you to understand everything I am trying to say but I have experienced things I can't explain that have turned my opinion to believe Anastasia didn't die in that cellar Don't try to change my mind it won't work.

Anyone else see 1956 version? Ingrid Bergman was hot in that royal dress she wore near the end of the movie but why did she run off?

It's strange how Rasputin was the only person who stopped Alexis' bleeding. But it's also sad that when they killed Rasputin Alexis also died, from hemophilia. What connection did Rasputin have with him? They were almost linked as one being.

No, no, of course not! Everyone has the right to express and support his own opinion. You've got yours, I've got mine.
