Anybody notice any flickering on DuckTales Volume Two???

Post by tyger81382 »

This is a minor issue but has anybody noticed any flcikering at the top of the screen (very slight line) at the end of Part 1 and 3 of "Treasure of the Golden Suns"??? Nobody else has but Iw atched this on my PC and they said that that might be the reason because DVD Drives aren't always as reliable! Thanks!

I think yo answered your own question. DVD movies should be played on DVD players, not computers with DVD drives in them.

I watched those episodes in a DVD player and didn't notice the flickering.

Stuff like this often happens when playing a dvd on a computer. The Drives aren't fast enough and the picture quality of a computer screen isn't too good anyway, so you shoudn't worry. Try playing them on a DVD player. If the problem is still there, then try another one, since not all players are the same , and then you could think about returning them or using Disney's dsc replacement. But what have to remember is that this series is over 15 years old, and hasn't seen any (at least not much) restoration, so there's always the possibility of some picture faults.

I've only watched the pilot on Volume Two so I can't tell from the other episodes. The video quality appears to be higher than Volume One. it's just that minor flickering that bugs me lol. I'm already having to send disc 1 from Volume One abck to disney for a replacement because a cheap portable palyer was cracking the cenetr of the disc1 i hope there's nothing on this that I have to return the set for another one!!!
