It's normal for people that have hobbies, I myself collect Disney movies and I sure everyone on this forum does, but that doesn't mean I am going to go out and get the playhouse Disney dvd's just because they are Disney dvd's.... get it?

That's your opinion. I have other way to look at it: I enjoy collecting them and my kids get to enjoy them!!!Princessmarlo wrote:It's normal for people that have hobbies, I myself collect Disney movies and I sure everyone on this forum does, but that doesn't mean I am going to go out and get the playhouse Disney dvd's just because they are Disney dvd's.... get it?

Oh, please could we just stop talking about reyquila's collection?!
I'm getting bored!!! It is huge, he has the money to buy all this stuff, and now he's finally happy that we all looked at his collection. So next collection please!!!
Ultimatefilmfan your collection is great!!! It'd take you over a year to watch all the DVDs you own.
Even if you watched two per day.

I finally got my camera to work, here is a picture of my collection. I am a fairly new collector and currently I am mostly purchasing DVD's that are a Special Edition of some sort. To me it's not the quantity, it's the quality!!
This is my growing collection (as it appears on my DVD shelf, in alphabetical order)

Upcoming Additions
Robin Hood: Most Wanted Edition
Peter Pan: Platinum Edition[/quote]

I have to admit, much to the dismay of many UD members, I too really enjoy the slipcovers. However, I am trying to wheen myself off from them because I don't want to end up not owning a Disney movie simply because it doesn't have a slipcover on it. I think they look nice, and I like them as a nice little extra... but lets face it, it's just cardboard! Right?DisneyFreak5282 wrote: ...I am determined to find all with slipcovers (I've seen Alice and Bug's many times for dirt cheap, but didn't get them because they didn't have slipcovers...I know, I'm picky!)

I know how you feel about Alice. I searched for like 2 months to find one (randomly, at that) at my local Gamestop.
I'm also very picky about slipcovers. There's only ONE Disney DVD I have without a slipcover, and that's Sleeping Beauty. But at the time when I got it, it was already OOP, and I spotted it (like a full year after it went OOP) brand new, Buena Vista-Seal and all, for only $18.99. So, I took the opportunity and bought it, no questions asked (aka: slipcover or not). But I will find a SB slipcover some day! It will happen! Then my "slipcover collection" will be complete!!
But for FatH and Dumbo:BTE, I'm sure you can easily buy those with the covers still. Like, without ANY doubt. So, if I were you, I would buy them ASAP to be sure you get one with the cover if thats what you really want.
And good luck hunting for covered-copies of Bugs Life and Alice!

LOL, thanks! I contacted Disney and they said "Since slipcovers are made in a limited quantity, we cannot send out replacement slipcovers" or something like that. GRRR. Oh, well, I guess if I can't find one soon, I'll just get the DVDs w/o slipcovers, and it's so ironic that I don't Alice and Bugs on previous editions of DVD or VHSbrotherbear wrote:Welcome to the club!!DisneyFreak5282 wrote:

So for requila, other Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films such as Castle of Cagliostro or Grave of the Fireflies aren't acceptable movies to watch, just because Disney didn't release them. There is also Panda, go Panda, Future Boy Conan (TV) Sherlock Hound (TV), Gauche the Cellist, and quite a few others.
Something tells me that if Disney had released the butchered Fox version of My Neighbor Totoro, and some other company had released the uncut version, requila would only have the butchered version...

BTW, I don't have current pictures of my Disney DVDs (my only digital camera is a "Cool Cam" which was $50 or so retail, and I got a rebate on it so I paid $0-25 (can't remember...) And no, it isn't worth what I paid...
If anyone cares, here are the links to my Disney collection:
Disney Animated Classics
Walt Disney Treasures - Missing Rarities and Spin and Marty - I need to get those soon.
Disney - Other Animation
Disney - Live Action
Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli
Muppets are in here.
Disney CG and Pixar are in here.
I also have The Muppets Season 1 and Schoolhouse rock in my "Animation - TV" folder. I have Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs, but I don't consider them "Disney." The same goes for most Touchstone/Buena Vista movies... they are just filed in the appropriate genre.

Well, it's his loss. Grave of the Fireflies is one of *the best* World War II movies and animated movies ever created.littlefuzzy wrote:reyquila wrote: I only own Ghibli distributed by Disney!
