Does anyone have a Disneyland Map in their house?

Post by Mr. Toad »

This one is stolen from Micechat. Since both Loomis and I have contributed to it there why not try it here.

I have a 50th anniversary one.

Hee hee...

Well, as I said there, I have Mickey Mouse shaped clock on my mantle, but not actually on display.

I do have several maps though. Aside from the small guide maps you get as you enter the park (for Disneyland, DCA and Hong Kong), I also have the large poster-sized map for Disneyland that came out for the 50th.

I have one from Tokyo Disneyland (which is actually in Chiba but "Chiba Disneyland" doesn't have the right ring to it) from my Japan trip a little while back. I also kept the special Halloween gift bags that were used at the time.

I've got the following maps:

Disneyland:
1998

(Even though we went in 1989, 1994, and 2001, I don't think we saved the maps)

Walt Disney World:
1991, 1993, 1995, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

I've got multiple park maps from Disneyland and WDW from every trip I've taken, all in a folder. I also have one from Disneyland on the day of its 50th anniversary, which a certain site administrator and his travel companion were nice enough to send me. I also have a giant poster-sized Disneyland map for my wall.

I have some of the Disneyland Paris/Walt Disney Studios maps in a draw at home from the visits in 2001 and 2004, but we didn't seem to keep (or maybe even get) any Disney World maps from when we went in 1997.

I have maps to the four Florida parks in a folder along with a map of Disneyland I printed off the internet. When we moved into this townhouse my wife and I decided to put up stuff related to the various hobbies of mine.

I definetly wanted to put up a map of the Magic Kingdom because Walt had the map of Disneyland up in his office. I also have a map of EPCOT next to it although the park is different than his original vision. These are next to each other on the wall above one of my bookshelves. The bookshelf is topped with a snowglobe Mickey that plays the song from his Club (a gift from my wife). And there are two black Mickey Mouse Club hats, one with each of our names on it.

This is a good topic. I wondered if anyone else was nutty enough to put park maps on the wall... I just think the layout of the Magic Kingdom is brilliant.

Underground is even more amazing. Can get you from Tomorrowland to Frontierland in under 5 minutes. ;)

Well, I have this map hanging on my wall just a few inches away from me as I type right now.

As for maps they actually give out? Well, I've been collecting them for a while, but unfortunately, due to various reasons, I don't have the older ones I use to have. :(

The ones I currently have:

Disneyland map: 2005 and 2006

Disney's California Adventure map: 2004(which strangely also has Disneyland on it)

Every map they gave at Walt Disney World in the year 2004.

I would love to walk around in those tunnels. I actually have a map of the tunnel layout in my file along with other Disney maps.

There is a tour that allows guests in the tunnels. Forget how much it is, but it's called something like "Keys to the Kingdom" Tour. We often run into these tour groups in the tunnels and just pass them by. One time, I was passing them just as Cinderella was too (in full make-up, getting ready for the 3 o'clock parade), and she had to stay in character when she was in sight of them. But as soon as they were behind her, the smile was gone and replaced with a roll of the eyes and a scowl.
