Well, it's a good thing that the problems with Meet the Robinsons were dealt with in a good way. Seeing how David Stainton behaved in pitch sessions makes me really dislike the guy even more. Just to get such a twat like that out of the building was really such a good thing (I know that he resigned, but I bet that had he stayed any longer, he would have got fired).

This film looks good.

It doesn't have cute talking animals... or ants for that matter. It has humans, and they're not done by motion capture. It's based on a book and has an eccentric villain.

It looks like everything a Disney film should be. And that's every thing the other studios aren't making so it looks like Disney is making a film that not only stands out, but feels true to their 'thing'.

Looks wonderful.

Wasn't sure whether to post it here or here.

It's probably old news, because I think I remember reading it here somewhere. From the link below, Disney movies are now getting shorts, starting with Meet the Robinsons getting a classic short.

Here in Wichita, they have been showing Classic Disney shorts before all the Disney movies for about three years now.

"Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest" has been running so long now, they have changed the shorts three times - (1) Clock Cleaners, (2) How To Fly A Kite and now they are showing (3) Mickey's Circus.

Jim Hill has an article on the art direction of the film. Is it me or does the last image look like it was taken from The Incredibles? :?

Meet the Rubbishons

Hey, I heard that! You're right, I don't like the art at all! That picture of the two boys in the flying craft looks very kiddish and yucky. The character designs reminds me of LazyTown...and the bright colors and detail-less CGI remind me of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Also the blonde boy looks very annoying and in the trailer he sounds annoying. Dancing with a fruit hat...? :headshake:

Disney Duster, you're making MTR sound worse than a movie starring Barbie as Mary Poppins.

 Ew. It won't be that bad, but the character's are so cartoonish and exaggerated. I'll have to reserve judgement until...well if I go see it...and I actually don't think will.

I'm not sure what I think of the movie yet. I think it looks decent. I'm sure I'll see it in the theater just because it's Disney. We'll see ...

New Meet The Robinsons Trailer

Post by yoda_four »

I must admit, this movie's beginning to look better and better. I really like the style of animation, and the jokes seem much less 'Dreamworks' than CL was. I especially enjoyed this little nugget:

Awesome animation, a rendition of "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", a Bowler Hat Guy, a T-Rex, singing frogs and a interesting concept of the future?

Can this film fail on any level? :D
