Shrek 4 and Puss In Boots: The Movie? I don't know about that...I'm excited for Shrek The Third, but four might be just over-doing it.
Also, is National Treasure slated for 2010? If they start filming this coming January, why are they waiting two-three years to put it out? Movies don't take that long. I'm really psyched for this one. I loved the first movie...but in retrospect, I would have cast someone other than Nic Cage in the lead role. He was a bit cheesy.

No NT2 is for next Fall not Fall 2010 - now if they did a #3 then that may be in 2010 but not #2numba1lostboy wrote:

I give you the others, but the fact that Jerry Seinfeld is working on Bee Movie makes me have confidence it'll be better than all 7(soon to be 8 ) Pixar films wrapped into one.ichabod wrote: Bee Movie - November 2, 2007

As far as Dhrek goes, well, I'm actually looking forward to Madagascar 2 more, as I enjoyed the original much more than either Shrek and think a sequel can have potential. But the one Dreamworks animated film I want to see is "Over the Hedge 2"! It was a terrific movie, and the first Dreamworks animated film to get it right on every level, (it even rivals most of the finest of Disney, Aardman, Pixar and others) and the fact it was based on a comic strip basically makes the film scream "sequel".
More please!

I figure the above comment was probably winking at me, so I'll respond thusly: Not a snowball's chance in hell. If it was someone other than Seinfeld, then... still not a snowball's chance in hell.Timon/Pumbaa fan wrote:I give you the others, but the fact that Jerry Seinfeld is working on Bee Movie makes me have confidence it'll be better than all 7(soon to beichabod wrote: Bee Movie - November 2, 2007Pixar films wrapped into one.

I will agree with that, though. OTH was the third best animated film this year (out of four good onesTimon/Pumbaa fan wrote:As far as Dhrek goes, well, I'm actually looking forward to Madagascar 2 more, as I enjoyed the original much more than either Shrek and think a sequel can have potential. I AM WITH YOU DOTTIE!! I hate sequels. Its just a way for the company to try to capitalize on the success of the first movie (and make more money). Most of the time animated sequels are terrible! NOT EVERY MOVIE NEEDS A SEQUEL!Dottie wrote:Why does every movie need a sequel??!!! Can't they just let them rest in peace!!
I like movies, but most times I hate sequels!!!! Shrek 2 was pretty good though, but 3 and 4 is too much!!!
The same goes for Madagascar, the first one wasn't that great, so why should the 2nd be better?

Great to see that someone thinks the same way!! I don't even like the (supposedly) better sequels such as TLM II, TLK II...
The only one I enjoyed was Bambi II.
It's the same in Hollywood. Every fricking movie that is kind of successful gets a sequel. That messes up the ends of the original movies, and for me it changes the story of the first one, and I can't enjoy the original anymore as I used to. Of course, there are movies that are intended to have sequels and are conceived that way (e.g. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the rings...), but for most movies the sequels mess up the original.

National Treasure 2 is expected to be 76 hours long, feature an actual clone of Nicolas Cage (no special effects, no John Travolta), and will be in Smell-o-vision/3D/10.2 surround sound.numba1lostboy wrote:Also, is National Treasure slated for 2010? Whatever the big innovation is in...the next four years, this movie will have it.
