No, it didn't. And if I see another question about slipcovers, I swear I'll go insane and start beating up my computer like
this kid does.
Don't know what TLT is, unless digitalvideodiscjunkie meant TLM which is The Little Mermaid.
And yamiiguy already translated the rest.
I like to use abbreviations when simply don't have time to spell things out. This is a Disney board, after all, and TLK will almost always mean The Lion King, as would TENG meaning The Emperor's New Groove, or TLM meaning The LIttle Mermaid. It's quite easy to remember when put in the proper context of discussion. At least people here only do initials. On soap opera messageboards, you'll get entirely new words, abbreviations, nicknames, and phrases.
Some of the best-known soap abbreviations:
SORAS = Soap Opera Rapid-Aging Syndrome (whenever a character is 5 years old one day, then two weeks later is suddenly 16)
de-SORAS = when a character's age suddenly turns younger due to rewritten history or a new actor in the role
TIIC = The Idiots In Charge, used whenever referring to the higher-ups that are "ruining" a soap for certain viewers
LuzaRatt = derogatory name for the headwriting team of Bob Guza and Charles Pratt (General Hospital), used rather infrequently.
McTrash = derogatory name for Megan McTavish (former headwriter for All My Children, General Hospital, One Life to Live, and Guiding Light)
Fronsie/BS Frons = derogatory name for Brian Scott Frons (ABC daytime president)
Phelpsie = derogatory name for Jill Farren Phelps (current Executive Producer of General Hospital)
Newbie = universally used everywhere, derogatory name for a new character nobody likes on a soap.
Couples' & Characters' Nicknames: (I'll limit myself to General Hospital)
L&L = Luke & Laura(General Hospital)
L&L2 = Lucky & Liz (Lucky was L&L's son, so with Liz they allegedly would have been the next great GH supercouple)
Luckily/LEm = Lucky & Emily
NEm = Nikolas & Emily
Soily = Sonny & Emily (used by fans and haters given the unique name)
CarSon = Carly & Sonny
CarJax = Carly & Jax
Rexis = Ric & Alexis
Sexis = Sonny & Alexis
Jaxis = Jax & Alexis
Brazen = Jason & Brenda
Journey = Jason & Courtney
Jip = derogatory name for Jason & Courtney
Skipper = derogatory name for Courtney
Jasus/St. Jasus/BorgBoy = derogatory name for Jason
Snarly = derogatory name for Carly
Scummy/Scumbag/Mumbles/MagicP***s = derogatory name for Sonny
Spawn of Satan/Damian = derogatory name for Michael (who many blame as one of the starts of the downward spiral of the show)
SuperCarly = name for Carly when pregnant with Morgan
Superbaby = name for Morgan (who, while in SuperCarly's womb, survived so many physical traumas that one wonders if he was a superkid)
Red/Blaze = Luke's name for Skye, adopted by the fans as well
Darlin' = Luke's name for Laura
Storyline Abbreviations: (again, GH)
CE = The Cataclysmic Event, which we seem to be treated to one a year, usually during a sweeps month.
ClickBoom/ClinkBoom = referencing the moment when General Hospital started to seriously push the mob into the forefront, when Lily got into the car and it exploded second later. Click could refer to the pressing of the button, while some use Clink for when two champagne glasses clinked right before it happened.
In rare occurences when soap opera titles may have the same initials, some differences are made, otherwise most are simple abbreviations:
AMC = All My Children
ATWT = As the World Turns
AW = Another World
B&B = The Bold and the Beautiful
CAP = Capitol
DAYS/DOOL = Days of our Lives
EON/TEON = Edge of Night (or The Edge of Night for the purists, "The" was removed in 1983)
GEN = Generations
GH = General Hospital
GL/TGL = Guiding Light (or The Guiding Light for the purists, "The" was removed in 1975)
LOV = Loving
LOL = Love of Life
OLTL = One Life to Live
PAS/PSNS = Passions
RH = Ryan's Hope
SB = Santa Barbara
SFT = Search for Tomorrow
SuBe/SUN = Sunset Beach
TC = The City
TEX = Texas
Y&R = The Young and the Restless
