The Muppet Christmas Carol - Missing Scene

How come the scene where Scrooge and Belle sing "the love is now" has been cut from the Region 2 DVD?

Anyone know?

I always skipped past that bit anyways but it's princible!..principle..prin...it's a really hard word you know!!

Well, Mystique can look like anybody! :)
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well if it's missing, then you in the UK got the original Theatrical Cut. The musical number was pulled from the film before it went to theaters in 1992, but has been restored for home video releases and TV airings. Henson talks about it on the R1 commentary.

Yes, I believe it is missing from the UK DVD, which is quite strange because

(1) We still didn't get it in widescreen (unlike Treasure Island) and

(2) We still get the commentary, which is unusual. Normally when edits are different for the UK, they just ditch the whole commentary track rather then re-edit it.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Are you saying the song IS THERE on the R1 DVD?

Oh, never mind... I just remembered there was discussion about this when the DVD was released.
It took me a while to figure out why I didn't buy the R1 in the first place - it was simply because I didn't have a region-free player then. But now that I'm reminded I can reconsider getting it... :)
