If you're at this site, I'd like to think lacking a Disney DVD Insider is no great loss. After all, everything in it can be had here, where information and objective criticism are the goals rather than advertising. Of course, it does have a spaghetti sauce coupon!

I think that the ones from the Disney Store / Disneyshopping.com don't have the Insider for some reason...I just got mine at BestBuy, and it had the Insider...which is pretty cool, cause I'm almost 100% positive that the artwork (of the characters and the title) on the Peter Pan page is what's going to be used for the DVD cover....and I like it if that's the case!

MY "FAB FOUR": 1- FANTASIA, 2- THE LION KING, 3- BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, 4- THE JUNGLE BOOK

It's not the end of the world to not have the insider.

The guide offers very little substance, just has the following incomplete information for these DVDs:

Peter Pan: Platinum Edition
-March 6, 2007
-Never Land secrets
-Deleted Scenes
-5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theatre Mix
-All-new Games (groan...)
-and much more

Cars:
-November 7, 2006
-One Man Band Short
-Mater and the Ghostlight Short

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
-1-Disc and Special 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD
-December 2006 (damn, they can't even add one more digit to announce it's coming December 5?)

Cinderella III:
-An All-New Movie coming February 7

Fox and the Hound 2/AirBuddies:
-All-New Movies on DVD this December
-And the Airbuddies talk...

Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: A Kingdom of Kindness
-September 2007
-Log on to DisneyPrincess.com for a sneak peek

Mickey Saves Santa:
-November 14, 2006

And perhaps the last DVD-related bit:

Tell us What You Think...
...about the Disney DVD Insider! Take our online survey at insider3.com by January 15, 2007. It's quick and it's easy, and your thoughts will help you make the Disney DVD Insider even better for you.

As a special thank you for participating, you'll receive a FREE Disney Enchanted Call* from a favorite Disney character!

LOG ON TODAY AND TELL US WHAT YOU THINK!

*Limit one per person

Other than DVD stuff, there's half-page promos for the Disney Cruise Line, Little Einsteins, TLM merch, Disney Showcase Collection figurines, and DirecTV

The DVD articles accompanied by the same stock photos we see on the internet, and despite its claim of being "Stuffed with movie FUN for everyone!", it didn't have previous Insider material like easter eggs or cover art. And even those we can find on UltimateDisney much easier than flipping through a mess of paper and color. Honestly, the DVD Insider is so mind-numbingly useless one wonders why they put any effort into it at all. Then again, not everybody visits UltimateDisney.com, so otherwise this "Insider" has a few bones thrown their way...

Plus, I like tomato sauce, so I may just buy 3 more jars to get one free. (by December 31, 2006). But what Francesco Rinaldi Pasta Sauce has in common with The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition, I'll never know...

ETA: Okay, I goofed. There's one Easter Egg. For Ella Enchanted. Resume whining.

Just got mine tonight at Best Buy and I didn't have one either. Also for some odd reason the DVD case is chipped. When I took it out of the slipcover to open it there is a small piece of the case thats gone near the top. It was still sealed and had the white tape at the top, so I guess it had to come from the factory like this.

Anyone ever had that happen?

I got mine at Best Buy with the pins and it didn't have an insider. I'm hoping my backordered copy from Disney Store will have it, but if nobody else who ordered through them got it, I probably won't either. Not that big of a deal, but I like paging through it.

One thing I found out in my Disney Insider booklet and then later on the Sneak Peek review in TLM, is that they are coming out with this new Disney Princess dvd Encanted:something with Kindness, with all new animation and story for Belle and.....you guess it Aurora. Aurora never had a sequel(thank god) but this might consider one and after seeing the sneak peek, Aurora has black eyes again! What the Hell? She suppose to have blue eyes! Also the animation look a little off. one dress she wears is outragious.

Don't know about you guys though...
