And as to the person complaining about how grainy it is, and then they reveal they've watched it on a notebook - PC monitors always give a sharper, crisper image and enhance any imperfections in the picture of any DVD. I don't know if the same is true of LCD TV's, but if you watch it on a standard TV, it will certainly not show the imperfections as much as a notebook screen. I think it's ridiculous that we've got someone being so alarmist and then they reveal they're watching on a notebook!
LOL! Welcome to 2006 Amish boy!!

Why settle with OK picture quality on a standard TV when most ppl own a LDC TV today... This movie will not be released in years to come so it HAS to look good on a LCD TV too!

Guys, I don't mean to break up the conversation, but I think I'm buying Mermaid off eBay and I was wondering if this is reliable. There's only a stock photo, and that's my worry:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Please tell me fast, the item is gonna close in a bit over an hour.

At that price (when including the shipping) It's a lot better to buy it on CD-WOW or Axelmusic - two great retailers who offer free shipping...

Also when bying it on Axelmusic or WOW you are certain not to pay import duties or extra VAT... which you are very sure to pay when buying it on eBay from the US...

At what part do you freeze frame to see this? I've never heard of Mickey and Co. being in TLM... :?: :P :?:
It's at the point where King Triton enters for the concert. As his chariot moves over the crowd, the camera pans across and Mickey, Donald and Goofy are in amongst the crowd. You really do have to freeze frame it though to be able to spot it.

I hardly think this is true. I'm willing to bet on it. And from what I've heard, many people think the picture quality is better on a standard TV than an LCD.

What I'd like to know is how can Mickey, Donald and Goofy breathe under water :?

if your going to go that route, you might as well as yourself how Ariel herself can breath. she has a nose, witch should be able to breath out of water. and no gills.

It's only a homage, like the fact that R2-D2 appears on the underside of the mothership in CE3K, or R2 & 3PO are in the hieroglyphics behind the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders, or the X-Wing and TIE Fighter during the Coruscant Speeder chase in AOTC. These kind of things happen all the time in movies.

I think it's offensive too! All the more, The picture's GOOD TOO on a LCD screen, that's how I've been watching the movie twice on my big LCD screen and the picture is GORGEOUS! So stop saying that because, in all objectivity, it's not true!

I just went through all the bonus features and I was really dissapointed by the making of featurette, it really wasn't that informative. The "ride that almost was" was really cool though. I wish that would've become a dark ride at Disney World or Land.

Yesterday, Sunday, I went looking to every "Saharis" here were I live. This music store carries region 1 DVDs and they usually stock them up a couple of days before their actual US release. However, none had it!!!!
Then I went to Blockbuster to rent a movie that would cheer me up... and they had The Little Mermaid Special Edition (Mexican release, which is supposed to be out on Friday)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me so happy! LOL I watched it today, too, before returning it. ;)
Now I can't wait to go to the US this weekend to get an R1 copy and some TLM goodies.

Lol, but aren't fins for swimming?

And you guys are all wrong. Sebastian captured and forced them underwater to watch his concert, whether or not they could breathe. If they live, cool; if they die, oh well, they died watching what will be "the finest concert I [Sebastian] have ever conducted!" Then their fins are just costumes they put on to mix in with the crowd, and keep King Triton from finding out or he would've killed them for trespassing the Under Sea World.

I agree, where were the interviews with all the voice actors? I had high hopes that Disney would do another onstage show like they did with Aladdin. I liked the ride that almost was, and the character art was cool, but the interface was clunky...

Mickey Donald and Goofy

Post by disneyboy20022 »

Is this a new scene or something with Donald Mickey or Goofy that you guys are talking about? or could I see it on the old Limited issue DVD of the Little mermaid? Either way I do plan on purchasing the Platinum edition of The Little Mermaid at Midnight at Wal-mart. Also while I am there I will be picking up X-Men 3: The Last Stand
