I don't see any reason why it shouldn't... Canada gets all the same things in theatres that the U.S. does. We even got the limited release Howl's Moving Castle, and this is a rather popular film.

Unless you live in the Greater Toronto Area, than don't expect it. There used to be one (a digital theatre) here, just outside Vancouver, a simple ten minute drive down the road from where I live, but now it's gone. I really hope that they would release an IMAX 3D, since the aforementioned theatre down the street from me does have an IMAX. I really wished I could see it in 3D but Cineplex is a bunch of jerks and refuses to have digital outside Ontario.

Update: Cineplex has started ticket sales for Nightmare 3D and it's playing at four theatres: Scarborough, Woodbridge, Mississauga and Montreal. So, for us outside those areas, than it sucks to be us.

This isn't really on the topic of the Nightmare Before Christmas playing in Canada, but I didn't know where else to put this and didn't feel it was worthy of it's own thread. The site is up. http://adisney.go.com/disneypictures/ni ... index.html All that you can do on it at the moment is see the trailor and view showtimes. I'm hoping they at least add wallpaper because I'd love to have a NBC themed desktop for Halloween.

Looking on the site, it has all the provinces in the little showtimes area, including my home province of BC so maybe they might have taken a hint and might be opening it over here.

Update: Was just on wikipedia and it mentions that it's getting a wide release on December 1. Don't know if it'll still be in 3D, don't really understand to technology and if it's possible to show 3D in a normal 35mm theatre. Hopefully it's true. I'll definitly be there.
