I click General discussion, see that the latest post in the ridiculously long TLM press release thread is from Luke, so I scroll in hopes of seeing:

The Little Mermaid DVD Review is up here.

:P :D

Glad to see you're making great progress on the review, and I echo lucylover's statement. UD reviews are the best for Disney. I tried reading the one that he posted from boxofficemojo, and it just wasn't the same.

Probably you got your copy so early they didn't have the Insiders yet to put in them. And a joke about what? UltimateDisney.com having the best DVD reviews cause I wasn't joking about that.

Yeah, it was a joke. I was saying that I saw Luke was the last to reply, so I expected his post to say "Little Mermaid Review up here", with here being a link to the review. Instead we get a progress report, lol. I probably should've said that at the end...

I personally can't wait for the review. I haven't seen any online reviews yet (well, there's the French one, which I should be able to work out), and as I'm more partial to the UD reviews, the critique of The Little Mermaid here excites me most.

EDIT: Didn't notice the BOM review.

I can't wait either. The screenshots look good, but you can't tell if the audio is any good (but it will be good, obviously) or how good the bonus material is by looking screenshots. But it will turn out fine.

Some exciting news! I pre-ordered my copy of TLM: PE through BestBuy.com like 2 days ago and in doing so I got 5 dollars off of my pre-order of TF&TH!! Anyway, the exciting part is that TLM shipped out on 28 Sept! Usually shipping takes about 2 or 3 business days, which would have it here at least a day or two early! I will let you know if I get it early, but I just thought you would like to know in case anybody wants to pre order it through BestBuy (shipping is very cheap as well! Like 1.62 or something like that!)

I'll probably get it from Best Buy then. I saw it's $14.99 on that site so I went over to Amazon and sure enough they've dropped it down to $14.99 too! I've never seen anything lower than Amazon's price which is why I buy from them but the extra $5 off a Disney DVD from Best Buy makes me change my mind on this one.

The new 5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix works really well in the movie with my state-of-the-art home theater system :D

Um..buddy, my signature on the LA Forum is not a full screencap at all.

It is 1.) not "obstructive and unnecessary" and 2.) I would never, ever think of using something so destructive to the enjoyment of my fellow members.

It would be lovely if you would not make such ridiculous and scolding comments to myself or anyone here.

Anyways-- a friend of mine had some doubts about the Spanish-language version of TLM, and I was wondering if, Jordan, you could post a screencap of the credits. Thanks!

I didn't mean to offend you. I don't think my comment was all that harsh, honestly. just a tiny rant of mine I guess. and to be fair it looked larger in your screen cap to me than it really is, maybe because you have your resolution set lower than mine (thus taking up more space on your monitor than mine). believe me I wasnt trying to ruffle any feathers. still I just think a tiny banner would be prefered. it can be annoying to to navigate a topic with several posts with these in their sigs.

to bring this back on topic, this movie doesnt have a DTS track by any chance does it?

Folks here have mentioned there will be free plushies at Best Buy.

Anyone know if the DVD has the Jodi Benson video that was on the credits of the last VHS release?

It's not on there. Lighthousemike mentioned it somewhere on the Peter Pan/Jungle Book thread. I think the reason Disney didn't include it is because it wasn't from the original 1989 release (Disney didn't start doing pop singles with music videos attached until Beauty and the Beast). I guess since the video's from 1997, Disney doesn't feel it's archival enough to be included like other music videos. Speaking of the 1997 re-release, anyone else find it odd we don't get the re-release trailer for that? It was a neat trailer. I think it said something like, "Before a young lion became king, before Aladdin unleashed a genie, before a beauty tamed a beast, there was a little mermaid who dreamed of something more." Too bad that wasn't included on this set.

It depends on your store I think. When I got Attack of the Clones DVD, I wanted to price match @ my Best Buy but then I wouldn't get the freebie (a calendar I think) so I really wanted the calendar.......so I didn't get a price match.

Know your local store's policy - they may not let you get a freebie.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

If you had used your brain, you would have realized I was being sarcastic as to how bright and too pastel like the colors had turned. Gee.
Wow! I can't believe what a rude, nasty, irritating, and downright unpleasant individual you are. For someone who is so keen on trying to put people down and suggest their intelligence is less than normal, you seem to have a real problem communicating. I think that's one of the rudest, and nastiest comments I've ever come across on a forum, and quite frankly you should be ashamed of yourself!
