Also on top of that, the final scene, which you go into the movie theater and see the montage, you were originally going to go to Oz, and see the wizard. So you'll notice that the room you go into to see the montage is huge, it's because they were going to put Oz there, it was not suppose to show a montage.

The Queue Line (Props Section) will get new props, as you can only see the merry go round horse so many times before you get bored with it. New props will be:

-Overcoats from Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
-Sam's Piano from Casablanca
-Suit of Armor and Sword from Legend
-Original animated cels from any Disney Animated Classic (they'll rotate monthly, starting chronologically with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

The Queue Line (Trailers Section) retain the same trailers, and add a lot more. Rather than have all the trailers listed below play all in a row (that'd likely take an hour or more), there will be a rotating schedule that changes each week. One trailer from each genre will be chosen to play for the week, and with 10 genres and 5 trailers per genre, there will be a larger variety than 8 trailers playing continuously all the time:

Musicals:
-Footlight Parade
-Singin' in the Rain
-West Side Story
-Bedknobs and Broomsticks
-Moulin Rouge!

Comedies:
-Bringing Up Baby
-The Shaggy Dog
-What's Up, Doc?
-When Harry Met Sally...
-Office Space

Action/Adventure:
-King Kong
-North by Northwest
-Raiders of the Lost Ark
-Batman
-Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

Westerns:
-Stagecoach
-Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier
-The Searchers
-How the West was Won
-Young Guns

War Films:
-Gunga Din
-From Here to Eternity
-Stalag 17
-Empire of the Sun
-Pearl Harbor

Film Noir and Neo Noir:
-Double Indemnity
-Laura
-Sunset Boulevard
-Chinatown
-LA Confidential

Drama and RomCom:
-Gone with the Wind
-How Green Was My Valley
-Casablanca
-When Harry Met Sally...
-Chocolat

Animated and Family Films:
-Fantasia
-Mary Poppins
-The Princess Bride
-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
-Chicken Little

Sci-Fi:
-Planet of the Apes
-Alien
-Back to the Future
-Star Trek: First Contact
-The Matrix

Horror:
-Psycho
-The Exorcist
-Halloween
-Silence of the Lambs
-Scream

Nothing in the loading area will change, the paintings are pretty good.

Onto the rides now, in the same order as seen in the current attraction:

-Musicals:

The first musical will be Singin' in the Rain, but along with the iconic Gene Kelly on Lamppost, it'll be animatronics dancing in the "Broadway Ballet" segment (it'll replace the area where Footlight Parade was)

Next, we'll move on to the familiar Mary Poppins with "Chim Chim Cheree", though more elaborate animatronics will be used.

-Gangster Pictures:

Not much to change here, but I'd redo the narration so that it acknowledges Film Noir as well, and the posters on the wall (The Public Enemy, Little Caesar, and 20,000 Years in Sing Sing) will be changed to both Gangster pictures and Film Noir. Cagney remains, but maybe we could add an animatronic in one of the silhouetted windows. Perhaps Stanwyck as she appeared in Double Indemnity, or my personal favorite, Gene Tierney as Laura Hunt. The shoot-out stays the same

-Old West:

I was never a big fan of this section as you can only do so much with a western, but I'd simply redo the animatronics for Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, and make the shoot-out more epic.

-Sci-Fi:

Ahh...I'm gonna have fun here! Gut the entire Nostromo set, and replace it with the most elaborate set and animatronics ever: Yoda vs. Palpatine in Episode III.

Or, if that can't be done, the Borg assimilating Engineering in Star Trek: First Contact, complete with the continuous motion of the Borg Queen's torso being slid into her body...

-Action/Adventure/Horror:

Indiana Jones stays, it's perfect as is.

The Temple scene where you lose the gangster/cowboy and get back your host will be redone, though I don't know how yet.

Tarzan is gone, we'll replace the jungle with New York City and have King Kong live once again...

-Drama:

I love the Casablanca scene, but hate how it's so small, so I'd take the Fantasia section and turn it into an area for Drama, with Norma's grand descent from the staircase scene from Sunset Boulevard.

-Fantasy:

The Wizard of Oz's Munchkinland area will still be here, as I can't think of what other iconic location in a movie could best represent fantasy.

-Ending Montage:

I love the Ending montage, I really do. But they've really got to remaster the clips, it's very jarring to see what's been in the montage since the beginning and what's been added.

Plus, I'd change some of the music. It can get tiresome having the thing end to Star Wars all the time. Like the trailers, there will be alternating montages, so guests will always have a different experience.

I find this an interesting topic because the American Film Institute listed their top 100 films several years back. I'm a believer that the ride should stick with classic films in order to secure its longevity. So I'm going to work on basing my ride off of their list...

Dramas
Citizen Kane - Rosebud!! Or maybe that HUGE fireplace.
Casblanca - The scene is already great!
Forrest Gump - The bench scene, with a box of chocolates!
Gone with the Wind - Frankly, I don't give a damn.
Its a Wonderful Life - Everytime a bell rings...
Ole Yellar - Awww

Fantasy
Fantasia - Expand this out into a full room!
Metropolis - The original silent film. Who wouldn't want to see the lab?

Musical
Mary Poppins - Its great already.
The Sound of Music - The hills are alive! Too much Julie?
Wizard of Oz - Its all good.

Comedy
Duck Soup - The Marx Brothers could only be outdone by the Stooges!

Horror
Alien - Its cool already.
Silence of the Lambs - Hannibal in that mask, in the glass cell!
King Kong - Forced perspective skyline with a huge ape!

Ok, so its totally not balanced, but you get the point. [/b][/url]

Mr. Toad wrote:Hey, I just saw Kram's comment about family scenes. That wasn't a shot was it?
You mean there isn't any family scenes in the current attraction???

I dunno, I always figured Mary Poppins and Wizard of Oz was enough for family scenes, along with the clips in the montage at the end...

Maybe I'm just confusing myself.

What about scenes from all of the James Bond movies. That would be a great addition for the ride.

OMG nobody has mentioned on of the most impressive movies ever made!
We need Titanic to be a huge part in the drama section! Even though the scene where jack and kate are infront of the boat "flying" on the railing, i am choosing a different scene cause I think it would be too boring. The scene would start in a dark blueish room where you would see Kate on the piece of wood at the end of the movie. You see a stretch of ocean and mabey in the back you see the last part of the titanic dissapearing. She is singing in a soft voice, "come josephine in my flying machine" and with the sound of the waves there is a curtain of water falling from the ceiling infront of them and on this water there is a projection of a compilation of the greatest moment on the tune of Celine Dion "my heart will go on. The compilation will end at the moment where the titanic is going under and Jack and Kate are on the top of the ship and he says "Never let go". Then the water stops and we see Kate again singing softly that little tune with the soft crush of the waves. You see stars flickering in the background and mabey spot some rescue boats. Then she turns around and yells softly "Jack" "Jack!" She tries to wake the frozen jack and then she lets go of him saying "I will never let go jack!" And then he sinks out of our sight. We see a big light from the distance saying "Is anybody alive out there? Kate yells, hey Hey! (or something like this in the soft frozen voice.) Then slowly the ride moves on....

I would also like to ad Harry Potter to make the ride more fun for little kids who dont know any of the old Movies. I would choose the scene where Harry is on a Broomstick playing Quitish in a big Quitish stadium.

In the action section I would ad perhaps a Scene from Gladiator where Maximus is waiting in one of the chambers before he has to go on into battle. We would see his back and infront of him a gate where you can see a piece of the inside of the arena behind it. (They could project this?) and you can hear the crowd screaming maximus maximus! Then the gate opens and he steps through holding up his sword. Then we move on to another movie.

A Thelma and Louside scene would be great. Where you see the two women cruising in there car, and the background is moving to make the illusion they are driving. You can hear the girls talking about what they have gone through. This would mimic the last moment of the movie where they get trapped by the police. There hair is floating in the air because of a wind machine and the soundtrack can be heard in the background. Then you hear helicopters and police sirens in the background and then you see them taking eachothers hand. We would not show them driving over the cliff ofcourse cause this would scare the little kids haha.

We need a star Wars scene! I dont care what but we need one! ANYTHING! AS LONG AS IT SHOWS SOME CREDIT FOR THESE AMAZING MOVIES THAT STILL WITHSTAND TIME!

And Lord of the Rings would also have a scene! This movie is a classic already and will not be forgoten. Because the battle scenes are VERY large scale it would be very difficult to try and portray theseattle scenes. So I think one of the battle scenes they could portray best would be the one in Helm's Deep where Gandolf is fighting the Balrog and tumbles to his "death" I leave this one up for your imagination.
Or we could have the opening scene of the Hobbit party for Bilbo bagins where you have the Hobbits dancing and you see some Hobbit houses around and Perhaps see Gandolf and Bilbo smoking a pipe together on a hill overlooking the party. Or you could have the scene where you have the council of Elron. all the characters discussing what to do with the ring, and then Frodo says, "Ill take it!" ecty ect!

Ill post some more later!

Let's not and say we didn't.

Now this one I can agree with. All T&L get in GMR is a brief shot during the closing montage.

Would make Star Tours kind of redundant, but then again, I also said to include Star Wars in the attraction...

Oh common, it might be a bit overrated now when we look back at it, but when it came out it was the biggest buzz ever! I mean its almost 2007, meaning that this movie 10 years later is still by FAR the largest box office succes ever created!!!

I bet ye it got you to drop a little tear in the cinema escapay:p just admitt it!

If it were adjusted for inflation, Titanic would slip down to #3, as Gone With The Wind is the definition of box office success. Most likely, the only reason Titanic is financially a box office success is because of the huge throngs of pre-adolescent and adolescent young women who repeatedly went to the theatres to waste their allowance or part-time job paychecks watching heartthrob of the week freeze to death.

Considering the fact that a fellow classmate blabbed the ending a week before I saw the film (Jack dies), I really had nothing to cry about. Though, in retrospect, I could have cried at the 3.5+ hours of my life I'd never get back.

If I want a great Titanic film, I'll watch "A Night To Remember". If I want an overblown melodramatic romantic historical fiction epic, I'll watch "Titanic".
