I love the musical sequence, and I think that all that things happened before the TV series, because Ariel and Flounder are surprised for seen Sebastian singing. And they seem younger than the 1st film.
I can't wait until 2008.

The TV series takes place just before the movie. But that also begs the question as to why Ariel would trust Ursula after what she did on the show?Starsong wrote: I'm a bit confused as to the whole TV series bit. I do remember watching episodes of it when I was younger, but at that time I didn't care much for continuity. Were the TV series episodes intended to be little side stories that took place before or during The Little Mermaid?
Because she felt alone and desperate. Because she was in love and was offered a chance to make her dreams come true, even if it meant making a deal with a sea witch.lord-of-sith wrote:The TV series takes place just before the movie. Actually, I read that the real reason The Little Mermaid III wasn't canceled, just like Cinderella III, was because it was a princess film. The company said that the princesses were too popular, too much of a money-maker. to not make their sequels.Kyle wrote: its a shame john lasseter didn't come on board earlier. he tried to have it cancelled but it was too far into production to do so.

No. Why? Click here.Kyle wrote:yeah but he's the head of the whole animation department now. dont you think if he had gotten there soon enough, he could have pulled the plug?
