Nah. I haven't preordered TLM. And honestly, I don't plan to. I plan to wait to see prices in the weekly ads (the ones posted on Oct. 1st), and use the store with the lowest price. In Feburary, there were some pretty good deals for LatT, and I wound up buying it for $14.99 on the Saturday following the release at Circuit City. Honestly, I'm looking for a price similar to that, the same, or better. I really think there will be some very good deals on TLM when it comes out due to its popularity!!
What can I say. LatT spoiled me!!!

They just lowered it on Amazon even more. Now only $16.98! The thing is though I pre-ordered Lady & The Tramp from Amazon and then after I got it they lowered it a dollar more so it kinda ticked me off. I wonder if that'll happen with TLM too.JamesDFarrow wrote:I pre-ordered it from Amazon for $17.87 (through UD).

I pre-ordered it from the Disney Store.
Same thing happened to me when I pre-ordered Lady and the Tramp and then again with Smallville season 5. Amazon is good about giving you a refund for the price difference if you ask them to. I sent them an email asking nicely for a refund, and they gave it to me both times.Lucylover1986 wrote: The thing is though I pre-ordered Lady & The Tramp from Amazon and then after I got it they lowered it a dollar more so it kinda ticked me off.

Never saw the point in preordering. I, too, like to compare prices from the weekly ads, though too often they have been releasing these new films at 19.99, when they used to regularly be at 14.99. I also am holding a glimmer of hope that I'll get a free copy from Amazon.com for reviewing purposes. It's only happened twice, but both were Disney Platinum Edition releases (Snow White Platinum Edition and Bambi Platinum Edition).
However, I occasionally will preorder if there is a good deal with it, like something free that is really cool, and I tried to preorder Little Mermaid twice already at Best Buy, but there was a problem. They had an offer that said you would get 5 dollars off any Disney movie "TODAY" if you reserved your copy of the Little Mermaid for 5 dollars. Well, twice I tried to get that deal at Best Buy, and both times they said, "What you do is pay the five dollars for the movie now to reserve it, and then you get that five dollars off of the Little Mermaid when you come to pick it up." I kept telling them that wasn't how it was supposed to work, that that wasn't giving me five dollars off of ANYTHING. That was just me paying part now and part later. I kept telling them that I was supposed to get five dollars off a Disney DVD purchase TODAY, but they just could not seem to comprehend that, even when it said it on the promo card, clear as day! It was sooo annoying! Sometimes, Circuit City tries to pull some crooked deals like that too. Still, those two stores, Target, and Wal-Mart are usually the only places I buy movies at because of the prices... I surely will end up buying Little Mermaid at one of those, though not sure if I will have the cash to get it the week it comes out. I'm majorly broke right now and my next painting commission may be a while down the road...

For the last month I have been going in and asking them to check for me if they can get me a copy in with no result. Then suddenly I entered the store on Saturday, with no intension of asking cause I thought I'd give them a break, and the guy at the counter runs out and says: I can order it right now for you! So I put my name down and put my deposit on it. Only two weeks left and it looks like my store could get it early!!!

I pre-ordered it from the Disney store because I now have a pretty large lithograph, plush, and pin set from them. I have lithographs going back to 1992 for the "Pinocchio" Masterpiece Edition. I have pretty much every major VHS release from them. My pin set goes back to 2001 with the "Snow White" PE and my plush set goes back to 2002 with "Beauty and the Beast." The only major litho/plush/pin set I've missed was "Finding Nemo" because I waited to long to pre-order and they ran out.
Anyways, my pre-order is on back order and I usually pick up an extra copy of the Platinums to sell on ebay 5 years later when they are at their peak in price, so I'll be going to Wal Mart at midnight, unless a local store is giving away any cool freebies, such as a bonus disc of discount on the cd or something like that. Best Buy always makes nice Lithographs. Maybe they will do one for this. I think the last one they did was "The Incredibles."

Most importantly, have you ordered The Little Mermaid from Amazon using UD's direct link?

No, I have not pre-ordered TLM. I usually, like some other people, look at the ads on the Sunday before and compare prices. I usually get my DVDs at Target because they have the lowest prices, but sometimes Best Buy or Circuit City has a deal that can't be refused. I'll just have to check on Sunday October 1st. Only 10 more days till TLM comes out!!!
