I now have the Tinker Bell trailer under my belt. That film looks intriguing...I think it would be better in traditional animation. And the music was strange.
I'll watch it when it plays on the Disney Channel...

And, finally, I have seen TLM3 musical trailer. Between this and the teaser, I honestly do not know what to think of this movie...It seemed like the musical clip was telling us how Ariel came to know Sebastian...so is it a prequel?? But what about Melody's locket?? And who do those eyes belong to??

TLM is the best DVD release in terms of trailers to come along in a LOOOONG time...

Wow... thank you so much for the screen caps and scans of the TLM packaging and disc art. And I can't wait for the March 2007 release of Peter Pan (skipped out on the 2002 disc).

And despite my reservations, the animation for The Little Mermaid III and Cinderella III looks a lot better than the cheap animation for the second one.

Thanks for this news, even if it is slightly disappointing. As a proud owner of Peter Pan's Special Edition from 2002, I am very upset that it is being revisited this soon -- not that it doesn't deserve a better disc, but that the first one is fine for now with a good transfer and some good suppliments. There could be more done, and the restoration could be improved, but it's pretty good, and 101 Dalmatians should be given an upgrade from its Limited Issue first. It especially angers me that the only reason Peter Pan is being released now is to promote Tinker Bell, which is a dumb CGI knockoff that basically does brutal rape to both Barrie's original work and Disney's Peter Pan movie proper. Now I'm going to have to wait even longer for 101 Dalmatians, as I didn't get its Limited Issue version. Nice.

I'll give Little Mermaid III a look, as it seems surprisingly well done for a direct-to-video sequel. Is there a ny news on when Little Mermaid II will be resurfacing, though? I hope they don't wait to tie it in with III in 2008, as I remember liking it at one point and would like to give it another shot even though I feel burned by it now.

I just watched The Little Mermaid III trailer and I thought it looked pretty good, though it didn't explain much. But I don't understand why everybody keeps saying that the locket is Melody's. I still think it's a prequel...or maybe a midquel...because it looked to me like the locket contained Ariel's voice. Didn't anybody notice the "Ah, ah, ah..." in the background as the locket was falling to the bottom of the ocean?

As for Tinkerbell, that movie looks like it deserves a theatrical release.

I did hear the voice...but it sounded like the voice coming from Ursula's human form, Vanessa, when she was using Ariel's voice to lure Eric.

All in all, the teaser trailer had NO new animation...the ship in the storm was Eric's from TLM, the "locket" falling into the ocean was the fish escaping from the ship in the "Fathoms Below" sequence from TLM, the locket falling was from TLM2, and the sound clips were from Pirates and TLM.

Even if the locket belongs to Ariel, what is it for? And why should it falling into the sea be an issue? She is a mermaid, after all...

Well all those trailers certaintly are en excitement and im so glad Peter Pan is being released cuz now I can get rid of my cheap bootleg!

TLM 3 musical clip looks goofy and Ariel looks a lot younger for some reason..

TLM 3 teaser trailer, That locket looks like Erics pendent from Kingdom Hearts 2. In the story Eric lost a pendent and Ariel gives it back to him when she's on the shore...So that mite have something to do with TLM3 not being a a sequal to LM2...but then again it kinda looks like the locket from LM2 but I havent seen that ina while so I dunno. Im just hoping its not a sequal to LM2.

Tinker Bell movie...well the CGI looks great i think ill take a look at it.

and of course im defianlty buying the fox and the hound and robin hood.

Well, I guess seeing this is the most popular thread with the past hours, might as well put in my $0.02 cents.

Peter Pan inplace of 101 Dalmatians: Great! One of my childhood favorites. Can't say it's my favorite now, but I still really like it, and I definetely like it more than the bland-fest of 101 Dalmatians.

Cinderella III: I've yet to see the infamous Cinderella 2, but from viewing screencaps, the animation looks like a sure improvement. And plot wise <strike>I think it's WAY better than the original</strike>.

The Little Mermaid 3: Meh. The trailer looked like an animated teaser for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

The Disc 2 Preview: Well, the theme park attraction clip looks okay. I was kinda disappointed only because I was expecting a ride-through of "work-in-progress" like drawings. But I guess I'll have to wait and see, should be at least interested.

Those are both awesome points. The Locket in TLM2, wasn't that given to Melody by Ariel? Maybe it is a prequel. As Jeremy 88 said, a locket is a major part of TLM subplot of KH2. I haven't played the second game yet. I keep meaning to, but that would be very cool if they took elements from KH2 and placed them into the film. I've always wished Disney would make a Kingdom Hearts movie. Maybe the locket was Eric's. It fell into the sea and Ariel retrieved it. Then a type of midquel part of the story could be Ariel gave it back to Eric when she met him on the beach. Then after they were married and had a daughter, it was passed on to Melody. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the third film isn't about the locket, but everyone is talking about it, so maybe it's a subplot.

Ariel didn't give the locket to Melody, King Triton did. He gave it to her to remind her of her mermaid heritage, but then Morgana ruined the moment and the plot of LM2 took effect. :D

And I doubt the stroyline has anything to do with Kingdom Hearts...

I didnt mean the story had anything to do with the Kingdom Hearts story cuz Atlantica in Kingdom hearts actually has nothing to do with Kingdom Hearts at all. Its just a side story, but when Ariel saves Eric after the storm Eric lost a pendant that fell off when he was in the water. So I meant like that locket or pendant mite be the same one in tha story..So Ariel finds it and gives it back to Eric. Which really has nothing to do with Kingdom hearts

Re: Peter Pan & Jungle Book Special Edition 2 DVD Coming

Post by Jake Lipson »

I'm betting it's someone who comes along way before the first Peter Pan film happens...otherwise there would be some mention of Peter, and I get this impression that this movie is just about Tinker Bell...
Honestly, I don't think the Disney Fairies line bares any relation to Peter Pan at all, other than utalizing Tinker Bell as its center. Funny though, it doesn't stop Disney from blatently using Pan to promote it. I downloaded the trailer just to have an informed opinion, and the CGI looks pretty decent actulally, but I still am going to avoid this thing like the plague. Same with Cinderella III, which is even more appalling in concept than II was.

In the film screencaps just added, Ariel's tail is one color when she's on the beach with Eric, and then when she's reprising "Part Of Your World," her tail is a completely different color...

...what's up with that??

Can you upload the entire new 'Poor Unfortunate Souls' movie version?

As well as the Jonas Brothers version? :D

and the alternate ending?
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!
