I, of course, love the trailer. This film feels more British and less Hollywood than the previous two, which is saying something because I felt the first 2 avoided standard Hollywood laws for big budget movies very nicely. Alfonso Cuaron seems to be taking a lot more risks than Chris Columbus did, and I'm glad because unlike many other HP fans, I don't mind changes as long as they're in the spirit of the novels. The films shouldn't have to depend on the novels; they should stand on their own legs. The first one fell into this trap, but the 2nd one stood itself apart from the novel very well while still being faithful, and I can see the 3rd will take it even further. I have VERY high hopes for this film. Bring on June 4th. :D

Sweet!!!!

I am looking forward to this one. Looks more dark than the other 2.

I honestly don't like Snape on the poster though.

Snape's on a poster?
That's Sirius...unless there's a scene I missed.
Anyways, I liked the trailer, can't wait!

I love Snape on the poster! :D
This is a very Snape-heavy story and gives us a lot of background into Snape and feelings and motivations. They are making a great decision by featuring him. He is a wonderful foil to the kids and someone you love to hate.

Cannot wait to see this. Will probably read again, but first I need to get into TTT:EE on Tuesday and then ROTK next month.

Uh, poco? Thomas? Hook already pointed this out - that is not Snape on the poster!! Ack!

That dark shadowy poster on Yahoo! (see a larger pic here) is supposed to be Sirius Black - ya know, the "Prisoner" from the title? A slightly important character to the story, kinda. ;)
And besides, that's a fan-made fake. The Leaky Cauldron website reported on this back in July. Go here for that report.

So I dunno who's running things at Yahoo!, but that's definitely not an official poster. Of Sirius. :P

I think it looks a lot colder (in a good way) than the first two, does anyone know what I mean?

I love the dementors hand slidding the train compartment door open at the end. Not so sure about the chior or the scene with Snape stood in front of the trio (where is that in the book?)

I hope though that because a movie is being released next year that Warner don't hold the book until 2005, I want it as soon as its ready (it probably wont be ready until 2005 anyways so I don't know why I'm worring).

To me, The Prisoner of Azkaban was the first of the novels that got really good. I mean, the first two let us be astounded by Rowling's imagination but the third let us know she could really tell a good story. Can't wait!

The trailer looks very exciting. I am glad we can expect the film in June 2004 and hopefully the DVD by Holiday 2004. Harry Potter looks so grown up.

yeah the movie looks cool with the new characters. Gary Oldman (Quest for Camelot) as Sirius Black. Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. Emma Thompson (Treasure Planet) as Professor Trelawney. David Thewlis (James and the Giant Peach) as Professor Lupin. Timothy Spall (Chicken Run) as Peter Pettigrew. this is going to be a cool movie.
