Finally, Nightmare Before Christmas in anamorphic 1.66:1 (O

Post by erlryd »

Weird… The recent re-release of Nightmare before Christmas in Scandinavia is actually 1.66.1 anamorphic! If you’ll recall, the UK re-release from 2002, which replaced the old non- anamorphic barebones version was actually matted at 1.85:1, removing some of the picture at the top and bottom of the frame. Many bought the R1 for this reason even though the R1 is non- anamorphic. (The US release still has a DTS track, but in my opinion anamorphic picture in OAR is a lot more important than DTS but people who don't own a 16X9 TV might disagree) :P

The Scandinavian release is identical to the UK release in all other respects and has the same extra features except it omits Italian and Spanish dubs and has subtitles in the Scandinavian languages instead of Italian and Spanish.

Here are the specs:

R2 SE (Norway) - Buena Vista
