It's funny to see this on Ebay with double price of what it sells for in the stores.

I guess there is some relay happy guy out there right now, making $100 in profit on DVDs that he just go to the store and buy.

Yes there is. I saw they were going for an average of $175. After what you paid for it and ebay fees and shipping. I figured they make about $25 per copy. What a deal huh? For all that hassle.

The fees are not that bad, and shipping is usualy not included in the price so they get a lot more then $25 (sadly).

Thank heavens that I have the originals already!
Disney Treasures will - in my eyes - always be unseperated from the Tinboxes!
Not everyone will agree. I think that the tin-boxes are mostly a nuisance. The value lies in what's recorded on the discs, not in the packaging.
Well Anders, that was just my personal opinion, nothing else!

Buy it now for $225?

I hope this bozo ends up eating his inventory. It would make a lot of folks happy if the folks selling many of these on eBay do little more thna break even.

I would never spend $125 or $225 on those. especially when the tins are missing!

What, are you kidding

You get 14 DVDs with:

26 Mickey Mouse Color Cartoons
34 Mickey Mouse Black&WhiteCartoons
36 Silly Symphony Cartoons
46 Goofy Cartoons

4 TV Specials:
- The Disneyland Story
- Dateline: Disneyland
- Disneyland After Dark
- Disneyland Tenth Anniversary Show

5 TV Movies:
- Davy Crockett, Indian Fighter
- Davy Crockett Goes To Congress
- Davy Crockett And The Alamo
- Davy Crockett's Keelboat Race
- Davy Crockett And The River Pirates

1 Feature Film:
- The Reluctant Dragon

And this is far from all. The DVDs contains a lot of extra material that does not fit into any of these categories.

The 14 DVDs has a total of 1940 minutes (over 32 hours)

This is just under 4 dollars for each hour with fun, and what other DVD can show to that amount of fun for the money?

I think $125 is a great deal for all of them. Even if they don't have the tins.

Oh I agree. Especially since I spent about $25 for each of the 7 I have (w/ Tins) totaling about $175.

The fact that someone has already posted the bundle for sale on eBay w/ a $100 markup is what some of us have a problem with.

i would be kicking myself that i have spent as much as did on my treasures, but luckily there is no costco near us, nor do i want to ever pay for a membership to a warehouse club again, so it doesn't matter to me. in a way i'm glad i have the tins, just because they are numbered so they seem somewhat special. but i agree they can be annoying.. they take up too much space on my shelves.

i know if i didn't have them now, though, i would jump at the chance to get them all for that price.

I am curious about three things:

1. Besides Costco, is there anywhere else the release of the non-tin Disney treasures can be found?

2. Anyone know what is the run rate of these items?

3. Does anyone have an opinion on the “negative” price impact this release will have on the treasures tins?

Thanks - A collector of the Disney Tins

Disney Tins

8) Thanks for the valuable info. There is a COSTCO about 60 miles from where I live I will have to go check it out. I was one of the un lucky ones who wasn't able to get them when they were put out.

This info is really worth a lot

1) Not that I've heard of.

2) No idea.

3) I don't think it affects it at all. The tins are limited, the dvds are not. If you're looking to collect them, getting the versions without the tins only satisfies the casual fan, not the hardcore fan. If you've got six tins on your shelf, are you going to be happy with the 7th one being bare? Are you going to buy the whole set just to get the 7th disk?

Although, I see a whole bunch of folks paying big bucks for the tinless versions on ebay. This could just be idiots though, who don't realise they don't have the tin.
