For some reason, Ali, I found that reply rather amusing. :p
Imagine it like this, though...

Singer Guy 04: Hey guys, I've been thinking. Are there any direct to video sequels you would like to see? Like, maybe Hercules II or 101 Dalmatians 5 3/4?

Teede: Guys, I've told you all along, there's going to be more DTV sequels! With the first being Great Mouse Detective 2! I know it because my friend is an adult! Hello, can anyone responding me? Anyone? Snow White 2 in 3D animation will be great! Anyone response me?

slave2moonlight: (a lot of interesting stuff, a WHOLE lot of interesting stuff)

Escapay: I wouldn't mind seeing Sleeping Beauty II: Honey, I'm Not in the Mood and Sleeping Beauty III: Honey, I want a divorce.

dvdjunkie: Dance Television Videos has sequels? Wow, I'm so glad Disney is releasing some vintage Disney Channel material! Oh wait...you mean the other dtv...never mind.

(suddenly, reyquila rushes in, having been downing one too many caffeine pills)

reyquila: HEY GUYS! I SAY BRING THEM ON! I'LL BUY THEM! THAT'S ALL

(reyquila then leaves as quickly as he came in)

Prince Ali: (deadpan, in his best Alan Rickman as Marvin impression) Yes. We know.

(and that just gave me an idea)

Marvin: Oh great, more sequels...and nothing about making The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Leave me alone, will you?

(we leave him alone)

Marvin: Yes, abandon me. Brain the size of a planet and you walk away from it. Ungrateful, the whole lot of you.

(we walk back to him)

Marvin: Don't come back out of pity, I know you don't mean it.

(reyquila returns)

reyquila: IF IT'S DISNEY, I'M BUYING! THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS!

(reyquila leaves again)

Marvin: He should have taken me with him. At least then I'd always know I'm not appreciated. Just another part of his collection.

(a dtv director comes in)

dtv Director: Hey there, Marvin! We're gonna make a 3D CGI sequel about you called Hitchhiker's Guide: Marvin's Gloomy Adventures!

Marvin: I'm ecstatic. You're exploiting me to make a profit. Capitalism at its best.

dtv Director: Haha, you crack me up! Well, we start shooting next week! Consider yourself a Disney animated character now! With a Disney animated movie! An animated movie, Marvin!!!

Marvin: From smartest robot in the world to a drawing on a piece of paper. Splendid, really.

(reyquila rushes in, grabs Marvin, and throws a few quarters on the ground)

reyquila: HE'S DISNEY NOW! I'M BUYING HIM!

(as reyquila runs away, Marvin turns towards us)

Marvin: How wonderful. I'm being sold like scrap metal and you don't even care. Well, I guess that's the way it is.

Escapay, how can 1 Image = $453.59237 ?????????

Hey Luke, can we get this: Image as an emoticon???? I find the dancing banana to be super awesome. You know, I learned how to spell banana by No Doubt's song. B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!

Hehe, no. Your "Yes, we know" had such a deadpan tone to it that I imagined Alan Rickman as Marvin saying it, and so Marvin ended up joining the conversation!

Hehe, that's from an old thread where we were speculating the end of the world. In the end of the world, apes took over the planet, and so in preparation for it, I stockpiled on bananas since they'd be the dominant currency. Thus, one banana in the Escapay Banana Bank is equal to $453.59237

Oh!!! Okay, I gotcha. I actually think that that is kinda funny. I really do like the dancing banana, Luke Image I think that should be a new emoticon. Anyway, speaking of bananas, I really don't like them. They are too stringy for me, and too, well, I don't know. I just don't like them. And it's not because they are yellow, because I like yellow. Not as much as they other colors, but yellow is a pretty good color. Okay, now we can finish talking about whatever this topic is (I forget).

The Color of Friendship 2 - What happens when both of the girls grow up and how they both impact their communities together, specifically South Africa. Maybe the young african-american traveling to South Africa as an adult. (Both actresses are the right age for this storyline right now too.)

Escapay-

That was great. Hilarious! You should create a thread and take pointless forum conversations and turn them into funny parodies!

Sequel- Just so you know, the song "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" is actually called "Hollaback Girl" and is performed by just Gwen Stefani.
And it's a fun song!
:pan: Love It.

Hehe, if I did that, I'd probably have a better chance at Most Amusing Member at the UD awards, lol.

Anyways, I don't spoof/parody often because those things should be random and unexpected. If I were to create a thread devoted to taking other threads and parodying them, the novelty would wear off.

But...just to whet your appetite, here's an old word document I found. I had saved it after posting it in Off-Topic, with the intent of finishing it and reposting, but never got around to it. Can't remember what the topic was, but it involved Alan asking so many common sense questions that people kept saying he'd suck at Jeopardy. So I took that concept and turned it into this...

Announcer: This...is...Jeopardy!

(Camera pans to the first contestant)

Announcer: From Massachusetts, a high school student with four hours of homework daily, Alan!

(Camera pans to the second contestant)

Announcer: From Australia, a DVD reviewer who loves all things cheese, Loomis!

(Camera pans to the final contestant)

Announcer: And our returning champion, with a 99-day total of $5,125,209, a girlfriend of a Best Buy employee, Krystal D!

(cut to categories)

Alex: Let's take a look at our categories...

Soap Operas
Audrey Hepburn
Geography
Risky “B”usiness
Red-Headed Celebrities
Slipcovers

Alex Trebek: Krystal has control of the board.

Krystal: Audrey Hepburn for $200, Alex.

Trebek: She earned an Academy Award as a runaway princess in this, her first movie. Krystal?

Krystal: What is Roman Holiday?

Trebek: Correct.

Krystal: Hepburn for $400, please.

Trebek: She was married to this man, and the two starred together in the play Ondine. Alan?

Alan: Who is Boy George?

Trebek: No. Krystal again.

Krystal: Who is Mel Ferrer?

Trebek: Correct.

Krystal: Audrey Hepburn for $600, please.

Trebek: She co-starred with this actor in Sabrina and Paris When It Sizzles. Loomis?

Loomis: Who is William Holden?

Trebek: Correct.

Loomis: Red-Headed Celebrities for $1000.

Trebek: I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy, Life With Lucy. Alan?

Alan: Who is Vivian Vance?

Trebek: No, sorry. Loomis?

Loomis: Who is Lindsay Lohan?

Trebek: No, sorry. Krystal not buzzing in? The correct answer was Lucille Ball. And we’ll take a break and resume after this.

(commercial)

Trebek: And we’re back with our contestants. Now, Alan, as I understand it, you used to buy movies…for the slipcover?

Alan: Yes, Alex. I started with Bambi, and only collected films for the slipcovers.

Trebek: You’ll probably love our sixth category, then.

Alan: I definitely will.

Trebek: And Loomis…I understand you have a fixation for a movie called Showgirls.

Loomis: Er, no comment.

Trebek: Okay. And finally, Krystal, who’s on her 100th appearance today and still going strong. What do you think you’ll do with all that money?

Krystal: Well, I’m going to give half of it to my dear friend Escapay, and the other half will go to the bank, to charities, and of course, to DVDs!

Trebek: Who is this famous Escapay?

Krystal: Escapay is the supreme god of the universe, and we must worship him by buying DVDs and sending it to his temple in New Jersey.

Trebek: Ah yes, the famous god from the Dory Orthodox. Well, let’s resume our game, Krystal still has control of the board.

Krystal: Slipcovers for $1000.

Trebek: Bambi, The Incredibles, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Cinderella. Alan?

Alan: What are 2-disc Disney DVDs released in 2005 that came with slipcovers?

Trebek: Correct.

Alan: Slipcovers for $800.

Trebek: Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Atlantis, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Brother Bear. Alan again.

Alan: What are 2-disc Disney DVDs that do not have a slipcover?

Trebek: Correct.

Alan: Slipcovers for $600.

Trebek: $66.50, Alan?

Alan: What’s the most I ever paid for a slipcover?

Trebek: Correct.

Alan: Slipcovers for $400.

Trebek: $0.01…Alan?

Alan: What’s the actual worth of a slipcover?

Trebek: Correct.

Alan: Finish up the category for $200.

Trebek: Useless, proof a tree died, unnecessary, shiny. Alan?

Alan: What is a description of a slipcover by someone who doesn’t like them?

Trebek: Correct!

Escapay, you're great! just thought i'd say.

so commenting on my original subject a little bit. I was reading WIZARD! magazine today and there was an article on The Gremlins and how there is going to be a book released on it very soon, and then a comic and both will have pictures inspired by Walt Disney's original plans for a featue film about the creatures. It looks really neat, and if the book and comic go well, maybe disney will consider doing the movie again!

I wouldnt mind seeing a Snow White sequel with A LOOOOOT more screen time for the prince... and give him a name!

And even though Sleeping Beauty is my least favorite (I hate Awhorea) I wouldnt mind seeing a sequel for that either.

Also for TLM III my only hopes are

-Not so much Melody (or any at all if possible)
-Chris Barnes back as Eric's voice!!!!!
-WAAAAAAAY more screen time for Eric and give him something important to do in it.
-We get to see Ariel as a mermaid again!! the one we know and love! (It wouldnt be a Little Mermaid movie without a mermaid in it, now would it?)
-Please find a suitable voice for Flounder.

p.s. I want money.

I know. I just call it the "BANANAS" song. Great, now that song will be stuck in my head.

My sister told me a story about when she, and a group of people, went to the Rocky Mountains, and when they heard "Hollaback Girl" some guy thought that she said "Ain't no hollow fat girl" instead of "Ain't no hollaback girl". It was quite funny. I guess it was a "you had to be there" kind of thing. Oh well, we can go back to ummmmmmmm................ the sequel thread.

Definitively, some of you need to get a life, or get a job at least. Maybe then you can buy a movie or two!! I have no problem with being the object of jokes because I'm laughing all the way to the stores to buy the movies that I can watch and not only analyze with my fellow non-buyers. I'm very impressed with the useless creativity of several people here; you should be paid for your posts.

On the other hand, I'd like to know how many of the super committed members have contributed to this site with donations at least once. Because if all your life consists of doing remarks and comments with nothing to be proud of, your life will go down inadvertently and will lack transcendence. That's scary. I really love the facts that my kids know the releases dates and that I bring them the movies as a reward for their good behavior or good grades. That’s all I care for. I watch the movies with them and we have a great time. They know all the characters and they relate the movies with the experience of going to the parks. Believe me, riding Splash Mountain has a whole different meaning when you’ve seen the movie Son of the South.

I'm a doer. You're talkers. I have the movies, you don’t. After all, this site gives information and reviews with the objective of collecting the movies. Apparently the fact that I can say: “I’ll this or that movie” bother some people. You want deep and meaningful posting that I leave to others, I buy the movies and get to watch them; that’s meaningful for me and it is for some of you, only you don’t accept it. I don’t mess with anyone here, I’m always the blank of the attack, but as I said I have no problem with that, because I know envy is a powerful force. Anyway, I prefer my life. I love it very much.

I want to see:

Basil The Great Mouse Detective 2 (a proper one, not anything of Teeds or the Hound of the Basketballs either)

A proper Atlantis sequel. With lots of rip roaring adventure, monsters and steampunk.

A new Teacher's Pet movie, because the 1st rocked my world.

A Mickey/Donald/Goofy film, with lots of Pete and the Phantom Blott.

A Sky High sequel (should be cheap if they don't show Wil's parents, and just focus on the kids.

Another Inspector Gadget with French Stewart. So there all you French haters, I think he's an ideal Gadget.

Speaking of useless creativity. What exactly is it that you do? Oh, that's right, you post "I'm buying 'cause it's Disney" over and over. Please take a deep look inside yourself before passing on harsh critique on your fellow board members.
reyquila wrote:On the other hand, I'd like to know how many of the super committed members have contributed to this site with donations at least once.
Why is that any of your business? Everyone has their own reasons for donating or not doing so. It may be out of the most selfish reasons in the world, but it's their call. I've learnt it's best to keep your nose out of other people's pockets.
reyquila wrote:Because if all your life consists of doing remarks and comments with nothing to be proud of, your life will go down inadvertently and will lack transcendence.
I fail to see your point. Making remarks and comments is all we have in life. That's how you live it. By INTERACTING with others. Going on DVD shopping sprees and owning things is just an added bonus!
reyquila wrote:I'm a doer. You're talkers. I have the movies, you don’t.
So what? We are all able to share our thoughts, regardless of how big our collection is. Haven't you heard the saying; It's not the size that matters?

Gonna wait for someone with authority to address this.

There are so many things WRONG with this sentence, but I won't touch it.
reyquila wrote:I really love the facts that my kids know the releases dates and that I bring them the movies as a reward for their good behavior or good grades. That’s all I care for.
So you're teaching them that their ONLY incentive to do well in school is to get movies. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.
reyquila wrote:I have the movies, you don’t.
Multiply that by 500 and that's all you ever say. Gets repetitive after the first 50. Gets tiresome after the first 100. Gets pointless beyond that.

Still saying Disney should produce animated porn as a test to see if reyquila will have some standards and choose NOT to buy something with the Disney name.

I have to agree with everything here exccept the Teacher's Pet and Atlantis stuff. I mean, Atlantis was pretty weak as a film. It started off with lots of potential, I just didn't feel it got anywhere. Still, I wouldn't mind a GOOD sequel. Teacher's Pet might be a good movie, but I resent the crapanimation from Disney.

French Stewart was definitely the superior Gadget, and his film was actually really fun and enjoyable. The original was okay, but not as good.

Sky High was great (still need to buy this one). Maybe a sequel could bring in Kay Panabaker, because she is just too adorable.

Would love to see a Mickey, Donald, and Goofy film with The Phantom Blot! It was so cool to finally see him animated on House of Mouse! Actually, it was probably on Mickey Mouseworks where I first saw that. I definitely would like to see more films with the fab five. Actually, I like to call them the fab six, because Daisy should be included.

Kay Panabaker is wonderful. I really wish she had gotten a bigger part in the original. I would pay to see a Sky High sequel.

And I was thinking...maybe Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and maybe the rest could be in some version of The Swiss Family Robinson (going along with the classic tale theme that The Three Musketeers started).
:pan: Love It.
