Jack's Back . . . again . . . with a question

Post by Jack »

Hey everyone! Good to be back, and sorry to stay away for so long! How are you all, and how've things been going? :D

I'm going to Disneyland on Monday (woo-hoo!) and I have a question: Does anyone know if they still sell the Disneyland soundtrack?

I remember when I was a kid, we got this tape that was called something like "Disney resorts soundtrack" or something of the like, and on Side A was music from Disneyland (songs from Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Tiki room, etc.) and on Side B was music from Disneyworld (the only one I remember from Side B was a song about Canada - as a kid from Cali, I liked Side A better).

Anyways, is this still available on tape or CD? Or is there a new version around? I check Borders, but they didn't have it so I'm thinking it might be an in-park only product like Frank & Ollie.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

PS: In Hawaii, I went through a town that was called "Home of LILO & STITCH", because Disney animators supposedly set the movie in this town: Hanale, I believe it was called.

Did ya see the surfer that got attacked by that 15ft Tiger Shark?

You should be able to find something at the 20th Century Music Store on Main Street. They have pretty much every Disney CD that is available at the moment I believe.

Thanks for the info, Xx.

Hey Luke and Indiana! Good to see you again!

I had a very nice trip to Hawaii, abit with some downsides. I took a helicopter tour of the island and got to see some really gorgeous waterfalls that just went straight down for several feet - awesome. I caught a glimpse of the one from Jurassic Park when they first land on Isla Nublar in the movie, too.

I took a tour called Hawaii Movie Tours, which I was really excited to go to because not only did it take you onto private property, but it was also the same company that frequently informed Dan's JP3 Page about the making of Jurassic Park 3 (I used to be an avid attender of that site). That tour was VERY fun. We went to the now deserted Coco Palms where they filmed Blue Hawaii, and saw where Elvis actually stayed whenever he took trips there. The whole place wasn't in good condition after the huricane, but you could tell that in its prime, it must have been a really wonderful place. It was quite eerie because everything in the place was left just as it was on the day of the hurricane - so all the books are open, and are dated: 9.11.92 (freaky, and ironic considering the date).

We saw where many, many old movies were filmed on several spots on the island.

And last but not least, we went to where the first 10 minutes of Raiders of the Lost Ark were filmed. Everything but the interior of the temple was filmed in that area, and I had a great time matching up my camera lense with the angles of the camera in the movie. Remember when Indy runs from the indians and swings into the river? Well you can run down that hill and swing in the exact same spot - they have a rope for you as well as a convenient Indy hat to put on while going it. :D

The only big downside was I only got about 2 hours of sleep a night. The wind was really strong there, and in my room, everything would rattle when the wind kicked up. It really kept me awake most of the time.

Overall I had a good trip though.

Sounds like you had a great time, Jack.

My wife and I honeymooned on Maui in April of 1998...just a bit too late to see the Whales as they journeyed past. We did a 60-minute helicopter tour, snorkeled (too windy to go to Molikini unfortunately), did the ENTIRE road to Hana (kept going after Hana and drove back to Kaanapali the back way) and other stuff, too.

I do remember the wind being something awful, though. I could stand on our balcony and face the ocean at sunrise and feel the occassional drop of rain that was being blown down from the rainforests in the mountains.
