WDT - Certificate Numbers?

Is there any way to know what Certificate number you have without opening the tin?

I am asking as on Amazon, third party ads for some of the OOP ones are saying "brand new", etc... but then state the Certificate number. I don't know how the figure it's brand new if they opened it.

Maybe volumes from Waves 1 or 2 ? They had their certificatenumber on the tin.
