I think that it should be noted why Aaron needs to be appreciated in the first place. To the UD novice, you may think of him as just a random person on the forums, but as someone who spends too much time on this site, I honestly think that he's more than that. Along with pinkrenata and 2099net, he helps Luke out on the forum side of the site as a forum moderator, though that's not all. Aside from Luke, he's probably written the most reviews for this site. As Ultimatedisney.com is actually a Disney DVD site, these reviews are a much needed thing for this site.

So therefore, let us Image for AwallaceUNC.

Thank you Aaron! :thumb: .

Also, I recently heard one of your podcasts about Disney mothers, I think it was a Mother's Day Special, and it was really good! So thanks for that too! :D

I say we start a similar "Aaron underappreciation thread" for those who don't think he deserves this thread! The blackguards! Then we'd see who needs a whuppin'!

Although I don't think we should praise him too much, It'll go to his head! ;)

Yep. I was going to put the podcast thing down when I first saw the thread, but I forgot to. I love them.

Yay! Thanks to Aaron for all he does to keep this place running.

And thanks to Wondy for pointing me to the animated applause GIF. I've been looking for that for some time and have now added it as a Forum Smilie!

Amy Grant, unfortunately, couldn't make it to this thread, but she sends her love and this consolation prize:

This thread was very nice of you, TSOD! It was completely unexpected, especially since it comes at a time when I feel like I've been doing a lot of UD stuff but don't have a lot to show for it (yet).
So thanks a lot to you and to everyone else who has said nice things above.

Oh, my, it's already gone to Aaron's head!

At any rate, Aaron, we really do appreciate everything you do. The same goes for Luke, and everyone else that makes this site such a great place to visit!

Let's hear it for all of UltimateDisney.com!

Three cheers for Aaron! :thumb:

Excellent reviews, excellent moderator, and excellent award show host! I feel bad for not tuning in to the podcasts as much as I'd like to, but I've read that each one is great, and the ones that I've heard myself were awesome.

To top it all off, we even got a new smilie!

Hooray, Aaron! Your hard work does not do unappreciated.

Okay, I'm officially changing my name to Aaron in order to feel appreciated as well! :P

Anyways, it's nice to have appreciation threads, and this one is long overdue.

BUT

(dramatic music followed by dramatic pause)

(dramatic pause again)

(will you stop with the dramatic pause?)

(okay, dramatic pause over)

Are we being discriminatory here towards women and Brits? I mean, there's no "The Renata Joy Appreciation Thread", or "The 2099net Appreciation and Dr. Who Discussion Thread".

And where the hell is our "The Lurker Appreciation Thread"? A way of appreciating the silent members of our UD family? What about "The Banned Members Appreciation - No, No Appreciation For Them! - Why not? - Because they're banned! - Thread", in which we don't appreciate them, but talk about whether or not we're glad they're gone? And perhaps the biggest question of them all...

Where's our "Appreciation for the fact that "The Answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything is 42" Thread"???

Aaron, you truly do deserve this thread! You work so hard on many things to make this site great. I know for one the UD movie awards must have been very hard to organize, and you did a super job.

Well, without seemingly like I'm jumping on the bandwagon, a big THANKS to the Aaron Who Just Keeps on Ticking.

You know, back in the days of my reckless youth - when all I seemed to want to do is pick up on the 'controversial' threads on the forum and rebel rouse - Aaron and I didn't always see eye to eye. I daresay that we still don't see eye to eye, but we are certainly on much friendlier terms when we meet on the field. Back in those wacky days, we'd argue the finer points of the Bible and the existence of God (with a Big G or a little g) but one thing was a constant: respect. The arguments would get heated, but I'm sure Aaron will agree that we not only respected the well thought-out arguments of our would-be opponent, but we actually really enjoyed them. (This is something many people mistook for aggression, but was actually unrestrained enthusiasm).

So, now that I am - as Aaron himself has dubbed me - a "kindler, gentler Loomis" with a strange obsession with Disneyland, I feel obliged to say "Thanks for all the hard work". It is very easy to hop on here every day and make comments and not appreciate everything that goes on behind the scenes.

So to all those that work hard on this site - Aaron, Luke, Renata and the other people I've missed and will now hit me with rolled-up newspapers (if they can find me!) - THANKS!

I would also like to say a BIG thanks to UD's biggest Amy Grant fan/Pete's Dragon fan/Whoopi Goldberg fan/Areosmith* fan/Rush Limbaugh fan/Ann Coulter fan/<strike>Pixars' Cars hater</strike>(well maybe I'm the ONLY one to appreciates him for that last one :) ).

Also, I would also like to thanks Aaron for Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Pod as well. It got me obsessed with Disney podcasts, but his is still my favorite and the most fun to listen to! :)

*Also, big thanks for the CD! Lovin' it so far!
