I watched it last night and I was very impressed. A lot of effort was put into it, and I'm amazed to see how the quality in the DTV sequels is becoming. Awesome drawings and animation. I enjoyed it.

bought it the other day & of course watched it right off.

A cute sequel- not a great sequel and def not as good as the original....
along the sequel lines of Jungle Book 2 and Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch.

For those who are curious:

The following characters did not return for the sequel:
Sitka
Denahi
Tanana
the funny Rams- forget their names...

Nita was a great addition to the movie.
She kind of reminded me of Mulan...but w/ less confidence.

Rutt & Tuke are once again hilarious & play more of a "best friends" role to Kenai & Koda. They also have heroics in the movie...& not all just to impress the Moosettes.

Wanda Sykes character: Innoko, was really funny, but wish she had more then the like 4 lines she had in the movie.

Anywho, I'm sure to watch it again.

For those curious- the movie wasn't very good at announcing who was who in the movie names for the characters:

Anda & Kata are the Moosettes- Anda the more practical of the two, Kata is more on the naive side.
Bering is the raccoon leader
Chilkoot is Nitas' father
Siqiniq is Nitas' taller, leaner aunt (same voice as Chicha-Pachas wife in Emperors New Groove)
Taqqiq is Nitas' short & stouty aunt.
Atka is Nitas' "groom to be" who has very few lines and really reminds me of a mix of Kokuom from Pocahontas and Denahi from the original Brother Bear film.

The music was pretty, by Melissa Etheridge- not as good as Phils take in the original, but the song "It Will Be Me" is one of the prettiest songs i've heard in a disney film in a few years.

I got it on Tuesday at Target, and I was presently suprised at this DTV. I didn't think that it would overall be that great, but I really did like it, and now I have crossed off one more sequel from my list. Only 3 more to go (well as far as we know. I'm not counting the Tink Movie.)!

Well, here goes. You know how much I slam Disney direct-to-video (I still retain that DTV stands for Dance Television Videos from the old Disney Channel days, so I don't use that acronym) movies. Well, I bought this one because I was watching it in the Home Theater section of Best Buy and thought it looked really pretty good.

After watching it, I am really amazed at how good this movie is. The characters are all well-drawn, and the Moose are very funny, and they get a very funny set of 'girlfriends'. I am glad that I bought this one.

ok NO soundtrack to this movie! What gives?
The music is SO beautiful! I sure Disney could have done something for this soundtrack. Yeah so what only three new songs plus a reprise but they could have made us double dipped a little more with some other release. Even they could add some bonus music to the soundtrack as well ya know? I am sure Melissa Etheridge did write more than two songs for the film!

Anyway, I did enjoy this movie. It closed my thing for the first brother bear to a happier ending.

Now the theme song would be Feels Like Home the duet or It Will Be Me?
I think Feels Like Home but then again Disney did add the complete version of the song It Will Be Me to the end credits. Feels Like Home was a chopped up job in the film and at the end. I am confused lol.
What do you guys think?

I was pretty impressed. I did feel that the animation wasn't as good as in "Bambi 2," which was the last one released so I'm comparing them, but much better than other DTV efforts. The plot was really descent, even though it borrowed from other classic Disney films. The raccoon swarm chasing Nita was strikingly similar to the monkeys chasing Jane in "Tarzan." The fight between Kenai and Atka reminded me of the fight between the Beast and Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast." Nita's plot in the village was a lot like "Pocahontas" and the scenes where the aunts tried to get her ready reminded me of the matchmaker scene in "Mulan." I'll just sum it up by saying this movie lacked originality, but is still entertaining and my whole family enjoyed it. The music was good and I'm not a Melissa Etheridge fan, so that was a plus. I do wish they would release a soundtrack for this and "Tarzan 2" because I liked the new songs. BTW, why didn't Phil Collins come back to do the music? Do you think he was turned off by how bad "Tarzan 2" was? I wished they had continued the story (seeing as there are around 20 books by Edgar Rice Burroughs they could have adapted!!!!!) and was overall dissapointed with the whole film. Anyways, "Brother Bear 2" was refreshing after all the trash that has come out of Disney Toon Studios. I've enjoyed the past 4. I hope the streak continues, but I don't think "The Fox and the Hound 2" looks good at all!

Have now watched this twice since it was released earlier in the week..

Have found it very enjoyable, but felt like I was watching Mulan III at one point in the movie!

We found this one to be one of the better DTV's.

This is the best DTV-film Disney has made! Everything in it works really well and it looks spectacular at times. Someone says that the ending is cheesy, but it's so Disney - in a good way. That's how it's supposed to end.
Songs were beautiful and I believe that as soon as I hear them more I'll be humming them all the time

As much as I love WDFA classics and hate the sequels I have to say that this film easily beats up films like WDFA's Home on the Range and Chicken Little.

This certainly proves that we are in a digital age when soundtracks are exclusively available for download. No holding a shiny plastic cd case or looking through the booklett at the pictures and reading who wrote what song, where it was recorded and what not. I do buy a lot of music on iTunes, but it's kind of sad that it is coming to this. Maybe they sold more Bambi 2 soundtracks digitally than through stores.
