"Georgia Rose" (this is actually a 20th century American short story written by someone who lives in our community that our professor wants us to read, so it's sort of a mid-semester aside... I'm told it's heavily influenced by 19th Century English literature)

Well, the school system in Denmark is quite different from that of other countries. Still, I guess what I currently attend is comparable to college.

Anyway, last year I completed math, physics and drama.

this year I will be continuing Danish, English, French, history and social studies. I am also beginning psychology, science-based geograhy, religion, classical civilizations and biology.

I actually wondered if you would be doing any Sherlock Holmes, but decided you wouldn't because I don't think any was actually a novel as such. Same for all of Dickens' works too. As both had stories originally serialised in "penny dreadfuls"

I'm overjoyed you're doing Sherlock Holmes though - I'm a big fan, but admittedly not of the books but the ITV Jeremy Brett series of adaptations. I also love A Christmas Carol too.

Jayne Eyre and Wuthering Heights aren't a surprise. Neither is Frankenstein. I'm surprised you're doing the Alice books though.

Shame you're not doing War of the Worlds.

This semester is a light one as its my last at community college...I started at community college to save for the University ive always wanted to go to It was a little expensive for 4 yrs..but 2 I can do!

Yep that's is what grad school is all about, all reading and no playing. Shoot, undergraduate is like that too, except slightly less reading. But got dang!

The idea behind the class is looking at each novel as a commentary on the novel as a form in its earlier stages. That largely dictated the book choice. I had the same professor for a children's lit course last year in which we also read the Alice books, so I think she's just partial to it as well.

I'm taking really fun classes next semester (spring 07). I just registered and I will be taking these classes in order (remember my major is Microbiology)...

Organic Chemistry 1 + Lab - 350 level course 4 credits
General Microbiology - 300 level course 3 credits
General Microbiology Lab - (which is a course in itself) 2 credits
Biology of Organisms - 4 credit class with lab but it's a freshmen level course
Introduction to Biostatistics - 300 level course 3 credits

16 credits total (good thing I only work during the weekends), mainly junior level courses and I'm a sophomore (I should be a junior, I have 2 more credits to go after this fall semester before that happens) all morning classes too. I start bright and early @ 8am and my last class gets out before noon. It's going to be really fun, I'm actually looking forward to General Microbiology because that will be my first course affiliated with my major.

Mathmatical Game Theory- 3 credits

I might change Game Theory, since I may test out of math completely.

I already have credits for Western Civilization (6 credits), American History (6 credits), American Government (3 credits), and Geography (6 credits). Those come from getting 4s and 5s on AP tests.
