Private Messages help?

Hi there, I'm having some problems with private messaging.

Have I done something wrong :( Whenever I click on PM it comes up with this :cry:

I get the same thing. It's not your fault nor are you doing anything wrong. I e-mailed Luke and he said that the PM function has been disabled for anyone who joined after, I think June 15th. So if you became a member here after that date, like I did, you don't have the PM option. It has to do with bandwith and storage space on the server, or something like that.

Anyway, you can, if the person you are trying to contact has it turned on, send them an e-mail. If not, just try and get their attention in the Off Topic forum.

I was about to post here about the same problem. I wanted to send a PM but I got the same message. Hope the PM function can be fixed soon.

It's not broken. Like James said, it's been disabled for all forum members registered in the past few months, due to bandwidth constraints, the usefulness of PMs (or rather, the lack thereof), and the fact that certain spammers have abused them.

It really should be just as easy to e-mail your fellow forum member, and everyone can choose to make their address public or not.
