Post by MickeyMousePal »

Sorry if I started this early but I have school on August 28.

I'll probably get Darkwing Duck Volume 1, TaleSpin Volume 1, Desperate Housewives Season Two, The Tick Vs. Season One (minus one episode),TMNT Volume 5 and Brother Bear 2 ( I have a $3 off coupon that came in the mail).

Major damage to my wallet and my Reward Zone Gift Certificates. LOL

Even if you have school on the 28, there's no reason to start this two weeks early. We know you're going to be on the forums between now and the 28th, so you could've started it the Sunday before.

If anything, I'll be getting Darkwing Duck.

Is it really that big of a deal when he posts it? We knew it was going to get posted at some point, so what's wrong with now?

It must be the fall season because I actually voted for something other than "None."

I'll be getting TMNT Volume 5; it's worth it just for "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady," which was sold as a standalone VHS back in the day.

I didn't want to post it next week because I wanted to remind members that Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin both come out so they can do better in the sales. With high sales both Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin can have a second or thrid volume. I don't want them to be like Gargoyles with no plans for Season 2 Volume 2.

I'ma get a lot that comes out this week, but definately not all at once, so in order of importance:

1) Water - forigen film about Hindu widow mourning customs released here by Fox Searchlight; best movie of the year so far BY FAR
2) White Nights - 1985 Taylor Hackford dance drama
3) Desperate Housewives Season 2
4) Lord of the Rings Limited Editions (big maybe)

Renting Brother Bear 2 for Patrick Dempsy.

Yet another LoTR release? Milking it a bit, aren't they? If Jackson keeps this up, he's gonna start looking like just another greedy Hollywood hack pretty soon.

Desperate Housewives: Season Two
Though not just yet. I've ordered the Region 2 edition, which arrives mid-November. I'll also rent Brother Bear II, just because I loved the first so much.

I'm gonna take a cheap shot here and say that Pals didn't want me to get to this before him... this is WAY too early, bud.

Nothing purchase-wise, but I will rent Water, White Nights and Brother Bear 2. I might eventually get DH Season 2, but right now I'm short on cash and it was a big maybe anyway if I would get it. If anything, I buy it in a post-Thanksgiving sale solely for competion purposes.

Gee, the 29th snuck up on us quickly didn't it? That's still 11 days away though, so I've not gone as mad as I had once thought...

This one is a no-brainer for me.

Already have Tailspin and Darkwing Duck on pre-order from Amazon, so I'll just be waiting for them to arrive.

Brother Bear 2 comes out locally that week as well, which is unusual but a welcome move from BVHE Australia. Natch, I'll be picking it up on my travels to the shops.

Definately South Park Season 8, but Desperate Housewives Season 2 is a very close second.

Again you failed miserably Pals with this post, you missed some very important movies that are coming out.

I am getting:

Desperate Housewives - Season Two

Take the Lead - great ballroom dance movie with Antonio Banderas

White Nights - one of the better dance films from Taylor Hackford

The Sentinel - with Michael Douglas, Eva Longoria, and Keifer Sutherland

and a couple of others that didn't make your list.

I'm getting South Park: Season 8 and my niece will be getting Brother Bear II. I never like Darkwing Duck, remember liking TaleSpin...but it will be less than $20 in DDD's November 20% off sale. So I can wait.
