Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

This is truly upsetting news. Tony Jay was one of my favorite voice over actors. I loved him as Shere Kahn in The Jungle Book 2 and Frollo in Hunchback. Was he also the voice of the Magic Mirror in Fantasmic! and the Snow White Platinum DVD? He will truly be missed. R.I.P

One of my favorite voice actors of all time. One of my all time favorite Disney songs is Hellfire form Hunchback.

He also did the voice of Monsuer D'arque (sp?) from Beauty and the Beast [the man from the asylum] and I believe he was the voice of Death [the Grim Reaper], a one-shot character in Darkwing Duck.

He will be missed. :(

This is sad news indeed. Mr. Jay was a good actor and had such a great voice. Rest in peace, Tony Jay. You'll be missed. :(

This is terrible news. He had one of the best voices; his deep, powerful voice always brought a sense of class to everything he did. I still can't believe we're losing all of these great voice actors; Paul Winchell, John Fiedler, and now Tony. I think I'll go watch Hunchback in memorium.

R.I.P.

Oh my goodness! What tragic news. This is one of the more depressing deaths I have heard of so far in 2006. He is so fantastic as Frollo and as all of the voices he did. He also did a great job at singing his part in Hunchback.

RIP Tony Jay, you will truly be missed.

R.I.P. He will be very dearly missed, but his Hunchback work has definately endured for ten years and will continue to do so; I think the years will be kinder to Treasure Planet; and as for The Jungle Book 2...meh. I liked TaleSpin, but JB2...meh.

Still, great man with a wonderful voice. I mourn him.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

...

What's creepy is, I just got done listening to 'The Bells of Notre Dame'.

He will be missed.

Yes, you're right. He voiced Death in the Darkwing Duck episode "Dead Duck".

While Tony Jay wasn't one of my favourite voice actors, I have great respect for him. A very talented man. He'll be greatly missed. :(
