Spinoffs - What Would You Like To See?

Post by JamesDFarrow »

What Spinoff would you like to see from your favorite Disney movie or TV series.

Mine would be a spinoff from Ducktales:

Ducktales: Donald In The Navy

A series about the adventures that Donald had in the navy after he dropped of his nephews with Uncle Scrooge. They could even have the Ducktales characters show up one in a while to visit Donald when he was on leave, etc...

What spinoff would you like to see Disney do?

James :)

That would be incredible! The movie has so much potential for TV series, being what it is. Though it would be disappointing to see it downgraded like how the Buzz Lightyear show was. The shift to Disney TV Animation wasn't terrible, it's just that I would've rather seen it in CGI, but I guess that would've been too hard and expensive.

Spinoffs I'd like to see:

Back from the Past - Phil of the Future back in the future! I hope they at least make a movie! It'd be a shame if they don't even end it with a movie.

Kingdom Hearts: The Series - enough said.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. An Edna Mode TV series would rock. :edna:

Yay! Another James on the forum! Has that ever happened? Two people with the same name on this particular forum?
I really wouldn't have minded seeing that Beauty and the Beast spin-off that they were planning. I think that if they toned the animation a bit, then it would've worked better. I'd also like to see a Land Before Time TV series. I think that they're acxually doing it now, but I think that they should've realised potential for the series before they made like 20 of them. I'm also enjoying the Emperor's New School. I know that some people don't like it, but I think that it's keeping in theme with the original film sooooooooooooo much, with all the characters, settings, and gags, and I like how it is similar to the movie, but still has it's own style. They're both different. I like that. I would definitely buy a DVD of it, in a heartbeat. I don't even notice the voice change for Kuzco that much, but for Pacha it's really noticable. But I still like it. The movie's usually better than the series.
I like the idea of an Edna Mode series. I also think that a Woody TV show, from Toy Story, would rock as well. It would need to be different from that one in the sequel though. Animated, with Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete. Lots of cowboy action. I think that a Monster's Inc one would be pretty godd and also a Finding Nemo one as well. So many possibilities that they could come up with for those two spin-offs.
I'll probably add to this as I think of more spin-offs I'd like to see. I know that there's a few I'd love them to make, but I can't think of them now. See you guys!
Oh, and welcome to the forum James! :)

Magic Mirror: Unhappily Ever After - a new comedy series about the Magic Mirror's life after the queen fell off the cliff. Alan Rickman stars as the voice of Magic Mirror.

CSI: Agrabah - a CSI team is sent to Agrabah to uncover the mysterious disappearance of the Jafar, the Sultan's royal advisor. Locals claim he became a genie and was trapped in a lamp, but there is a lack of evidence and come on, it sounds too hokey to be true, right? If they only knew...

The Golden Girls - an animated take on the classic sitcom, with a Disney twist. Just how crazy can it get in a castle when four elderly princesses decide to live together in Miami? Join the smart one (Belle/Dorothy), the sexy one (Pocahontas/Blanche), the old one (Snow White/Sophia) and the nice one (Aurora/Rose) as they prove life begins after 50.

-A preview of the episode, "Fairy Godmother comes to visit"
Belle: Oh, Fairy Godmother, after that wonderful dinner, I can't wait for dessert!
Aurora: I made dessert!
Pocahontas: Damn!
Aurora: What'd you say, Poca?
Pocahontas: Yum! I said Yum!

The Tonight Show with Chip'n'Dale - 'nuff said.

Late Night with Roger Rabbit - 'nuff said.

All suggestions are strictly sarcasticalish...

I agree with JamesDFarrow. I would love to see a spinoff of Ducktales: Donald In The Navy. I love all the war time shorts with Donald.

I also agree that Kingdom Hearts would be a great series, but ONLY if the same effort that went into the games went into the series and only after the games were done being made and ended (though I think Kingdom Hearts should go on forever)
Yeah Disney!!!

A lack of originality spawns Spinoffs.................please no more sequels or spinoffs......................they downgrade the original product so much.

What is wrong with being happy with what we have?

I concur with dvdjunkie, but if there was an Edna Mode series it would probably become one of my guilty pleasures.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't see how a spinoff affects the original. My suggestion for example for Ducktales: Donald in the Navy would be an all new series. Donald was really only in the pilot story for Ducktales. Disney would have to write all new stories, etc...

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion(s).

James :)

What a great idea, full support ! Though I fear a herosuit-designer slash fashion-icon alone might not be enough to run a show. Sadly.

I'm not all too much of spinoff person myself but perhaps a show with characters from Finding Nemo? Whether it be the friends from school or the fish at the dentist -- it'd be all good :P

Two totally different movies, bud. You're thinking of Atlantica.

I'd love to see a show starring the fat, shirtless guy from Lilo & Stitch. I mean, am I the only one who wants to see if that man will ever get to eat an ice cream cone?!

I agree that a Kingdom Hearts series would be awesome, but only if they could get the voice cast to return.

Some great movie spin offs would be Peter Pan, The Great Mouse Detective and Robin Hood. Any of these would be great fun. As far as shows I would love to see another "Duckbill" city such as Duckburd and St. Canard. Disney has not done a show with humanoid animals in a while.

Lol, I feel bad too! Someone must give the poor guy an ice cream cone!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think it wouldn't be too hard to get the original voice cast. I'm sure Haley Joel Osment would be happy to do a series, as would David Gallaher since they are both not really doing anything at the moment. I dunno about hayden Paneirhawe (Kairi) since she's in that new NBC show "Heroes." Also, I think I would rather have a 2D Kingdom Hearts show rather than CGI, unless it's really really good CGI. Some CGI shows on now make me feel cold (like Jimmy Neutron).

Hehe, I can't wait to see the Animated Golden Girls show!!! Though I think Megara would be more suited to play Sophia.

The whole CSI franchise is soooooo overwhelming. Proof of that is that there's already three CSIs listed on this thread alone!
