Ha Ha, 'Bod posted the Popeye cover art. I'll eat my hat if that meets the new (revised, readjusted, moved, put back) release date!
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Thanks for sharing! I knew the R2 version was widescreen, but I'm so happy to see that we're actually getting much more image on the sides!

I want this so bad, but Amazon UK is charging £15.99 (which is $29.70 US). That's a little steep. Does anyone know of another UK mail-order service that is cheaper and ships to the US?

Also I think Luke needs to update his International exclusives page (The Incredible Journey) and the Pan and Scan DVDs to avoid page (Moon-Spinners)

There are many places that ship to the US, but they would cost the same amount. The problem with the catalogue DVDs being that there is little demand for them, so they hang around at or near to their SRPs for about 6 months after release with only a few retailers offering them at a lower price.

The "good" news however being that after the catalogue titles have been out for 6 months to a year the price will drop insanely from anywhere from £2.99 - £4.99, with most stores offering disney catalogue stuff in offers like 2 for £7.99 or 3 for £12.99, although you would have to wait, so it's not really "good" news if you're dying to get your hands on them.

So It looks like you'll either have to pay through the nose at Amazon, or keep your eye on the UK special offers thread.

*edit*

Sendit will get it to you for £13.60 ($25.00 ish) including shipping

Thanks ichabod. I bought some older Disney releases through Amazon UK for only £5.05 each. I want to get Moon-Spinners and Follow Me Boys, but I'll just wait until Amazon lowers its prices or somebody posts information about a good deal.

I thought it might be interesting to see combined images of the region 1 and region 2 screencaps that ichabod posted, so here's what I came up with. They are not perfectly alligned, because that was nearly impossible.

You know I was originally going to do that myself but I was too lazy!

Glad to see someone put in the effort!

On the topic of The Wild, does anyone feel annoyed that whilst Disney gave quite a bit of credit for the relatively unknown Pixar when Toy Story was first released (if you watch the original TV spots on the DVD, whilst there's no Disney-Pixar label, the Pixar lamp appears after Sleeping Beauty Castle), the people who helped make The Wild (CORE) seem to be getting no credit at all? The "Walt Disney Classics" moniker isn't helping as well...

Very annoyed, I am highly outraged that this will fool people into believing this was made WDFA when it wasn't! I could quite literally vomit bile!

Well I intend to rent it first to check the aspect ratio, then decide whether to buy or not.

I would assume that it would be 2:35:1 widescreen, yes. Although until someone puts it into a player, we won't know for certain.

Wait im a tad confused on this whole matter. A masterpiece like Dinosaur cant be named a classic, but a disaster of a movie with dreadful animation, awful jokes, uninteresting characters and what seems a ripped of storyline can? Oh Disney..........

Does anyone know if this copy of TLM is the anime version? It appears to be, but I don't want to just assume.

Also, Only Yesterday has been put on Play.com for only £8.99!

To finish off, my biggest announcement.

The Little Mermaid has been officially given set release with TLM 2.
