memnv is so excited he's seeing it twice.
Anyways it would be nice if Meet the Robinsons does have a trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Ratatouille.
It looks like a okay movie but it won't set a record like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

I won't push the matters, as it all comes down to opinions, but since when are critics right?

Oh and Pirates 2 will beat FN's records and will give Disney a much better name than FN did.

But back on topic, MTR looks better than Chicken Litte, heck it looks better than any animated fim in a long time.

I think I'll agree with that. The think is, MTR looks original and imaginative for a change.

I think we're sick of animted films being of nothing but animals lately. There are some humans in this one at least.

I make it a point to see all of the movies made by WDFA, so I'll be seeing this one too. I haven't seen enough to get hyped for it, but I do like the quirkiness of the characters that we saw in the teaser, especially Bowler Hat Guy.

Finding Nemo is the worst Pixar film.

Okay, all this bashing has caused me to ask you the potentially rhetorical...do you actually like Pixar at all anymore? If not, has it got something to do with the fact that everybody is so nice to them in comparison to how people have regarded Disney's more recent animated films (sequels aside), whilst you actually like most of the recent Disney productions? Or is it that you're the now bitter Michael Eisner posing as a 14 year old trying to rain on Steve Job's parade?

Oh, and I didn't like Chicken Little. I tried to like it, but found it not to my tastes. Oh, and as for the accusation of being Eisner, don't worry...your forum alias was charming enough anyhow.

Actually it will create the same spark, seeing as

A. Pixar's never made a bad film,
2. The closest they come to being bad is The Incredibles, which is still cool, and
D. You're just basing an opinion, so this argument is gonna go nowhere.

Wow, you do feel kinda outcasted when you're being compared to Eisner.

Well, I don't hate Pixar. On a whole though, they're overrated, and don't have quite the magic Disney has had over many years.

But I'll never go as far as hating them. And I can say that I enjoy 6 out of 7 of their films.

However, can someone tell me something great about Nemo? CL is flawed, I won't deny it, but I really don't see why Nemo got a bit of hype it did. I don't think it's heartwarming funny or entertaining on any level, yet it's their most popular film. Go figure.

JM- Why don't you like The Incredibles? At least it was original(for an animated film) and wasn't primarily a comedy. FN just threw one joke over and over again(the memory loss thing) and is gets more boring everytime you watch it.

But still I think overall, it's good for Disney they bought Pixar, so I'm not Eisner!

But anyway, let's stick to the topic, I'm excited for MTR!

As for MTR, it looks really good simply based on the trailer, so I'll definitely make a point to see it.

Well, I can sleep well tonight. Actually, I could sleep quite well despite the heat wave that's happening in most of Europe (even in "cold" places like Russia and Finland

), so either way, I'll sleep well.

Well, like JM and I said, it depends on your opinion. From when I last saw Finding Nemo (last summer), I did enjoy it. I found the characters charming and funny (Dory rocked my socks in particular), and as someone who has a father who can be a bit like Marlin at times, I related to the emotional backbone of the film. However, I can see that there are flaws in it (it does run a bit too long, for example) and Pixar have made better films that deserved a Best Screenplay nomination at the Oscars.

I am mostly with Joe - really good movie with good characters that you empathized with. Too long, could have had the unnecessary and slow whale scene cut down or eliminated.

Chicken Little - just did not get it on any level. And I actually reallly like Brother Bear and thought although Home on the Range was never going to see Platinum status that people were being way too hard on it.

If you devoutly dislike Chicken Little, it probably doesn't make a difference, but that movie really benefited from the 3-D presentation. The extra dimension increased my involvement in the film, and it doesn't feel quite as special on a flat screen.

Since Meet The Robinsons is also going to be 3-D, I would recommend going to that version if possible.

Listen, you should all know that there's a bit of T/P Fan inside me. I too enjoy Pixar films, but never find them as memorable as the Disney films...even the critically bashed Disney films, like Home on the Range.

Also, I don't like the fact that critics were saying, last November that Disney have no talent, and it's Pixar who have the creative power.

WHAT THE HELL? Are they suffering from memory loss or something? Disney gave us Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King.

But there's something you should know about me. I'm a Disney Fan. I try to be interested in other animation, but if it isn't Disney, it always seems pretty ordinary. I also have some sort of grudge for Dreamworks. I don't like them making fun of my favourite animation factory. I try to watch Dreamworks features, but I don't really enjoy them that much because they're Dreamworks.

It's become an obsession.

I'm not sure if I'm an animation fan. Am I? Or am I just a Disney fan?

I know it's wrong. But I can't seem to help it.

I'm not really sure. Chicken Little got anticipated by some and it got mixed reviews and I found it mediocre. I'm afraid the same thing will happen to this picture. The characters are not all that appealing IMO. I'll probably just rent it.

BTW, My theatre did not get Chicken Little in 3D so I had to wait until it came out on DVD to see it.

Am I anticipating a film on the level of a Pixar film? Heck Yes!

That sums up my anticipation on this film. If it is a lot better than Chicken Little, I will be very happy.
