ALIAS Season 5 + Complete Series Rambaldi Collector's Set

Amazon has the fifth and final season of ALIAS up for pre-order with a street date of November 21. The shorter season (17 rather than the usual 22 episodes) apparantly makes for a 4-Disc set rather than a 6-Disc set, reducing the list price to $39.99.

P.S. Any fans who have been holding out on the DVDs will be rewarded and some, like me, may have to do a painful double-dip depending on your collector desires, but it was confirmed without specific details in ALIAS's official magazine via interview with the ALIAS DVD producer that at some point in time there will be a special edition "Complete Series" set of ALIAS.

The aformentioned Complete Series set will not only be released on the same day as Season 5, but will also be in a special Rambaldi artifact-like box and contain an extra bonus disc and collector's book!

A few days ago we posted information about the fifth season of <I>Alias</I>, as well as a look at the Rambaldi box used for the complete series set, but now we have loads of new information.

The fifth season of <I>Alias</I> will be released on <B>November 21</B>. The 4 disc set will include the final 17 episodes of the series, presented in Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1), along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The set will sell for $39.99 US, or $59.99 CAN. Buena Vista Home Entertainment will release the complete <I>Alias</I> collection on the same day as Season 5; <B>November 21</B>. This massive 29 disc set will include every episode of the series, including all the bonus material on each set, and special material not found anywhere else.

The packaging, which looks like a Rambaldi artifact, will open to reveal the 5 seasons, and a secret compartment will hold the bonus disc. There's also a hardcover book that reveals answers to the show's deepest secrets, with an introductory letter from J.J. Abrams. The bonus disc will include:

Jennifer Garner's first interview - Never before seen
...and even more secrets revealed
